This looks like a pretty good price... thinking of getting one for the ASUS Zenbook 14 I recently bought. Anyone see any issue with SLC?

Not exactly, but this seems to be an SX8100 with a heatsink on it. Small dram cache and a realtek controller but still very fast specs. I think this is pretty good for 100 but im not sure if it's the most power efficient. Might want to look into efficiency if max battery life is a concern

the SLC cache should improve performance if anything, for laptop use you may want to check the clearance for the heat spreader

Maybe wait for the SX8200 Pro as I've read it's quite power-efficient

Someone upgraded the same laptop with that SSD and posted in the laptop thread, so that one shouldn't be an issue
