To clarify, this Classy Mini is a Lavazza BLUE machine, and Lavazza "Expert" capsules are 100% compatible with all Lavazza BLUE machines. The Expert line is just a marketing re-brand of Lavazza BLUE to sell to business. The bottom line is you are getting a Lavazza BLUE machine with this deal, you aren't limited to buying the new Expert capsules. For the small machine it's a great deal when you consider the capsules and free shipping.

I see that in addition to Espresso, there are Expert Drip Coffee capsules offered, that seem to work only on the more expensive machines. Do you know the compatibly of those with older Blue machines?

To my knowledge, all of the expert capsules are the same physical dimension as BLUE capsules. If you notice when you switch between "drip" and "espresso" on the site it's basically the same capsules, there's no special drip capsule. I think they're taking liberties with the term drip coffee because the single shots are still 8g of coffee per capsule, and they don't "drip" (it's still espresso). I had a couple of boxes of Expert "Espresso Gusto Intenso" that I picked up on Ebay and they were outstanding. All Expert capsules should be completely compatible with any Lavazza BLUE machine (unless Ferrari has something different).

Lavazza is creating a mess for themselves and customers...
In addition to "BLUE" now there "EXPERT-ESPRESSO", "EXPERT-DRIP", "NESS" and Keurig-compatible capsules. No compatibility info. Limited availability of 3 espresso-type capsule.
I bought BLUE for a MIL, but I would stay away or be prepared to replace in a couple of years whe capsules become too expensive,

Unfortunately I don't have more info that @Jenesaisquoi shared here. Didn't tried them yet to be honest.

I see company doing smart move by creating business line and targeting commercial side of business with discounted subscription service. Also by making capsules for other coffee machines like Keurig or Nespresso is their try to get piece of that market and as far as I can tell they are doing well. Lots of people like me love their product for many reasons that we discussed earlier on SD.

Also I don't see Lavazza discounting BLUE line in any foreseeable future. But to get more info probably would be a good idea to contact them directly regarding this deal and particular product.

Please do share if you guys learn something worth of sharing 😎

I spoke with a Lavazza rep in November 2019 after buying some Expert capsules on Ebay. He laughed when I told him where I got them from, he said they shouldn't have been there because the Expert line hadn't even been launched in the U.S. yet.

I haven't noticed any significant increase in BLUE capsule prices overall, and there's more variety available than ever. You can find 40¢ single shot capsules on Amazon on a regular basis.

That's interesting. Was that eBay seller from Europe? Got today postcard from Expert Line. It clearly says for office or at home. One touch barista. It's appealing. I am interested to learn more about drip capsules. Anyone tried yet?

No, it was shipped from Illinois. The rep wasn't sure how the seller was able to obtain them.

Lavazza classy plus looks tempting; seems to be a convenient all in one macchiato/cappuccino maker. $200 is nothing to sneeze at but seems like a good deal. Will sleep on it. Thx op for discount code

Im tempted by it too but if you want anything milk based you have to use their vessel cups. $20/pc is nuts.

true that.

I decided to buy the machine + 1 extra vessel since the machine comes with 1. no tax so everything including the free sample pack came out to 195.30 with the promo code above (not including 5% cb paypal using dsc). good enough for home use. You can always pour the beverage into another cup afterwards lol
