You got the elite version. It looks like this is not the elite version.

This looks to be an older model. Aerogrow is having a 20% sitewide sale using code SUMMER20 on all their current models. For this price you should be getting the stainless steel elite version. Look at past deals for this item. There also seems to be a discrepancy between the retail price on Woot $149.95 and the listed price on aerogrows own website $124.94 thus in actuality you're not saving nearly as much as indicated on Woot's site.

oh ok thanks. looks like the main difference is stainless steel finish and a digital display. gotta admit the digital display is really nice, it's hard to imagine not having it.

I remember reading on the thread that i bought from that covid has run the price on these up. Deals pre-covid shouldn't necessarily be compared to deals right now because the demand is so much higher (or something along those lines).

I could understand that but there's clearly a mark-up in the retail listed price on woot. $149.95 versus aerogarden's own website $125.94

Yeah I remember that being mentioned on other threads too. People were having a hard time understanding which model was a better deal because the prices were all off on AGs site. Thanks for the notice I'm sure you've helped someone here!

I do indoor sprouting and hydroponic microgreens. this is just for the artistic merit. if you want to do some growing, you could spend the same money and get much more bang for your buck w/ a grow light + sprouting trays...and watch youtube for how to videos.

Please update the incorrect retail price of this deal. You can clearly see here that the manufacturer has the retail price listed at $124.94

More bang for buck.... could you elaborate a little on what the 'bang' is?
And also suggest some specific keywords that one could search on to find out about what you were referring to. Thanks!

It's cheaper to get more plants growing if you can do it yourself.

We just got an aerogarden in August and I think it's an excellent starting point so now we are looking into DIY in order to expand and setup something that will fit perfectly into our house.

The aerogarden really makes things dead simple and will give you the confidence to expand. You'll get your herbs growing pretty quickly and realize there's nothing really stopping you from growing cherry tomatoes, peppers, etc except running out of space

If you actually check out on aerogarden's website in cart they retail price is 149, on sale for 125 with coupon to bring it to 99. Minor quibble since retail price is a made up number more often than not.

its cool - but I think the easiest entry is this: (1) "Plant Grow Light, VOGEK LED Growing Light Full Spectrum for Indoor Plants with Timer" - about 30$, (2) "Seed Sprouter Tray, 5 Pack Seed Germination Tray " - $15 and (3) "Green Pea Sprouting Seed" - about 5-10$ for a pound. The light I reference is excellent - and you can use it if you upgrade. otherwise, frankly you don't even need the light, just use a window and natural light, and just get the seeds and the cheap trays.
