The Bowflex bench 5.1 is currently available on Amazon. I know this is not the best price but the price is acceptable during this pandemic. My first post so please be kind.

I have the bowflex 3.1 adjustable bench and the screws come loose very often. Buyer beware.
Haven't had this issue with this one. I've been working out 5 days a week for at least 7, 8 months, using the bench every workout. I even use it for dips (which is a LOT of pressure on a single side of the bench). I weigh 215-230.

I have this bench and I do like it. It's a good bench but I wouldn't say it's anything special. I eneded up buying another flat bench. This way I don't have to switch between and less annoying. I would rather buy 2 bench for $229.

Get some Loctite thread locker. Those screws will stay snug until you decide to loosen them.

the problem with Bowflex benches are that the seats are way too wide. You want well padded but narrower seats. It ends up making you sit bowlegged and doesn't really provide much support. Other than that, this bench has everything you could possibly want
I've seen complaints about benches being too narrow but first time I've seen any mention of seats being too wide. Care to elaborate?

For example, I normally wouldn't have any issues benching on the floor if it didn't limit how far I could stretch my elbows back. Does it get in the way of your triceps?

For lower body, even if the bench was wider than the widest part of my body torso/hips my feet would be much wider apart and wouldn't worry about being bow legged. I've never used a Bowflex bench so I'd like to know.

I have used this one at my local gym and I do love it. Of course it is not super when you compare with those commercial benches. Imo it is very sturdy and well-made. Multiple adjustable angles is a plus. My lower back and shoulder joint will thank me later lol

I've had this bench for a few years. It does the job but I've been looking at the repfitness benches to replace or have an additional one. The bow flex is a little wide and there's a gap. Repfitness has one at a price point of $189 if you can catch it in stock.

This is only $3 less than the highest price in the past year per 3camels, the lowest being in January for $189. All-time low is $129.

Would pair nicely with those Bowflex Select Tech dumbbells; however, in these trying times, they are either OOS or increasingly high in price. This adjustable bench looks very well built, IMO.

I know! I am currently seeking to get the adjustable dumbbells and can't find one in original retail price. It would make no sense to buy this when I don't have dumbbells. lol.

Any tips on catching them in stock? I've been on the waitlist for a few months

Yes it's not cheap but this is not about the price but that its actually available since decent benches have been oos for at least 3/4 months.

have you ever been on a teeter totter? It's narrow so children can sit and have their legs easily reach the ground to push off. Now, imagine widening the seat from 8 to 14 inches. This forces your legs out wider which impedes the ability to push off with the same amount of force and puts pressure on your inner thighs. Some smaller children would no longer even be able to reach the ground. With benching, you want to plant your feet on the ground and be comfortable. If your legs are forced wider because the seat is wider it just doesn't feel right and you don't quite have the same leverage with your feet. It's mostly about comfort but if lifting really heavy you tend to use your feet more on those last tough reps. Maybe I'm doing a poor job explaining it but it's all I got Smilie

You want seats to be narrower and you want them to incline.

Check every couple of hours, a lot of their stuff sells out in 15 minutes... I gave up and bought a rogue fitness flat bench for way more than it should be.
