Machined from stainless steel, the handles on the Slinger are only 3" long but have an intuitive, ergonomic design to give you a firm grasp making it feel as if you're holding a full-sized knife handle. All pieces ordered now come with the improved deep-carry pocketclip~ ~ persian-mafia

It's NY's fault, not Amazon's...
Opening mail, packages, cutting apples... maybe self defense in a pinch.

I got one of these in the last slickdeal. $20 is the most I would pay for this thing. Decent secondary EDC. Flips smoothly, the steel is OK at best, holds a decent edge

Small knife. I think the Ausus they have for $20 is the better deal. Larger knife and canvas micarta handles.

I purchased the Asus which also has D2 steel. I was very impressed but was looking for something a little smaller at this point (Slinger fit this smaller size perfectly). The StatGear knives compare very close to my Kershaws in quality. Good bang for your buck here.

It all depends on what you want/need. I like my Ausus, but it is massive to be considered an EDC (every day carry). The Slinger is 60% lighter (2.2oz vs 5.5oz of the Ausus). I don't find the extra length of the blade necessary (3.5" on the Ausus and 2" on the Slinger). Plus, certain areas around me ban blades longer than 3". My Ausus usually stays at home, while my Kershaw Cryo is the knife I usually keep with me and I got that on sale for less than $20.

I probably won't pull the trigger on the Slinger, but if I didn't have my Cryo, I would give it a shot.
