" The charger is a very good NiMH charger, but slow. It will charge batteries exactly full, not anything more.
USB output also works fine, but 1A is not that much current.

The total output power is rather limited, either it can charge batteries or it can charge a USB device, but not both at the same time."
Got this from Costco before they switched to energizers which also are good

The USB port on the side can not be used the same time as the battery chargers
We have the Panasonic 4x individual position quick charger and it's great but a bit more expensive.

This one looks good for the price, thought I question the benefit of the USB functionality. It appears from the description that battery charging may pause while a USB device is plugged in.

"After the device is charged, simply unplug the USB cord and the batteries begin charging again."

So I'm not sure I'd buy it for that feature but instead just for the benefit of individual charging.

What's the output current of the USB port?

Been debating getting this type of thing and those rechargeable Ikea batteries - mostly for something like a personal fan. Have also thought about getting a solar charger for the batteries, but I don't feel like the technology is really there for those sized products
