Just saw the woot has this 2nd Gen stick up camera for sale. 49.99 is lowest Price seen on this product. This Gen2 version has POE port, which should give you more stable connection

Do you have to buy a subscription plan to save videos? I have an amazon cloud cam (no longer making them) and I get 24hrs to save the video it took to my device for free before it overwrites.

ARE THERE ANY ADDITIONAL FEES INVOLVED?
All Ring devices will operate without an additional fee or subscription. However, we offer optional Ring Video Recording Plans that cost a monthly or yearly subscription fee. Without Ring Video Recording, you will still receive alerts when visitors press your Doorbell or trigger the motion sensors in your device, and you'll still get live streaming video and two-way audio, so you can see, hear and speak to guests in real-time, as the event is happening. However, if you don't have Ring Video Recording and you miss an alert or a live event, you will not be able to review the video. Ring Video Recording will save all of your recordings to your Ring account for up to 60 days, and with Ring Video Recording, you can also review the videos, download them to local storage, and share them via social media, text and email. There are two options for Ring Video Recording: Basic and Protect. Basic costs $3 per month or $30 for the year per device; Protect costs $10 per month or $100 for year, and it covers an unlimited amount of Ring cameras, offers a lifetime product warranty and gives you an additional 10% off future purchases at Ring.com.

I pay $10 a month for 5 cams (well 7 now after this deal). My other property is all done with Wyze and that's definitely cheaper, but their outdoor cams haven't even been released yet.

Would a used Ring still be covered by the Ring Protect Plus plan should it go bad and need to be replaced? I have a feeling it wouldn't but still curious

I picked up a 2-pack at Target in December of last year for 99.99 with a free Echo Dot. This just is not a good deal.
You sure it wasn't the indoor only version?

I have 4 of these around my property. I love that I pay Ring a flat rate for as many cameras as I want. Thinking about adding one more, but the husband will roll his eyes at my paranoia.

Does anyone know how long the battery lasts when running live view continuously?
Not very long in that case. You should probably go with a wired Nest if you need continuous view.

I live in a cul-de-sac and have my Ring pointed at my driveway. So it goes off about 4-6 times a day. Battery lasts about 2 months. Have been pleased and would recommend.

I could not either, BUT I did find a 3 pack (Wired indoor) for $179.99 which are brand new and direct from Ring. I think this trumps this deal...if you need of course.

Does anyone know the one BestBuy [bestbuy.com] have on sale for $84.99 New with Free 3rd Generation Echo Dot is 2nd gen? If that is the 2nd gen, it might be a better deal providing that it is new and the DOT can easily sells for $25-$30.

You can just get 3 wyze, eufy or whatever brand cameras for $75 shipped (regular price) if all you want is indoor cams. What makes this a deal is these are outdoor ready and battery is a nice option. I'm guessing the person who said they got two new Stick Ups with an echo dot was talking about indoor only cameras also.

Echo dots don't sell easily for that price anymore. You're lucky to get $20-25 after fees unless you get lucky on Craigslist or something without shipping and seller fees. Just sold 2 3rd gens in the last month. Maybe it's a regional thing I'm in Dallas currently. That's a decent deal though if you need a Dot. Just not worth the time and effort selling them anymore imo.

Ring has these for $85 new. If you have 20% student teacher etc discount. That's $68. I think that's a better deal than this used one.
