Just saw the woot has this 2nd Gen stick up camera for sale. 49.99 is lowest Price seen on this product. This Gen2 version has POE port, which should give you more stable connection

Does anyone know the one BestBuy [bestbuy.com] have on sale for $84.99 New with Free 3rd Generation Echo Dot is 2nd gen? If that is the 2nd gen, it might be a better deal providing that it is new and the DOT can easily sells for $25-$30.
It's 3rd gen, how you tell is 3rd gen has the speaker holes below the camera, 2nd gen = no holes.

I could not either, BUT I did find a 3 pack (Wired indoor) for $179.99 which are brand new and direct from Ring. I think this trumps this deal...if you need of course.

Not the same camera. The ones you linked to are 3rd gen which are apparently crappier than 2nd gen.

I pay $10 a month for 5 cams (well 7 now after this deal). My other property is all done with Wyze and that's definitely cheaper, but their outdoor cams haven't even been released yet.
FYI, just received my Wyze outdoor cam. They did an early release/pre order thing. So far it's been good.

I did not see anywhere that the 3rd gen were "Crappier" than 2nd gen.

The 2nd gen has the same motion sensing abilities and zones as a Ring pro,

3rg gen has the dog sht one from the First Ring doorbell. No zones.

There's more but this is a huge chunk

Battery lasts a few months, wired requires no battery. Same features. Not very complex...The 2nd gen is still much better than the watered down 3rd gen.

The battery one seems more convenient.

To note, RING has these on sale now too for $85:

https://shop.ring.com/products/st...8041585753

It''s eligible for the 20% student/military/medical discount. So $68 for new if you're eligible for the discount. Still a good deal at $58 shipped though, but I'd prob go for new for +$10.

Oh, and the "Indoor Camera" is $59.99-20%:

The battery doesn't last. Mine lasted may be close to 3 months when new, now may be half about that and they are not monitoring backyard with no traffic most of the time.

The solar only works with direct sun light, that may limits where you can put It and there It a bug In the camera/app that It says solar status not established even It is charging.

BTW, the night vision is one of the worst, may be even the worst among the camera I have In operation.

Thanks OP! The stick up cams are fantastic. I had one mounted on our dock almost 100' feet from the router to watch baby geese hatch. Unfortunately, the motion is only triggered when something large was right in front of the camera (ex mama goose coming back on the nest), so we missed the little ones jumping down, but when you activated the camera, the picture was fantastic. Ordered 2 more since they are 1/2 of what we paid. Thanks!

Those cameras on the ring site are INDOOR ONLY. The camera on this post is INDOOR/OUTDOOR which is a big difference.
