Walmart too. Someone from the other Roku deal a few days ago mentioned it.

Decent price if you need it now, but if you're looking to do early Christmas shopping or something, they'll be cheaper in a couple months.

What's the difference between this model and others? I'm a newbie to Roku world. Just wanting to replace Chromecast for something like this. Don't own a 4k TV.

Also new to Roku which one is better? I will be stepping up to a 4k65 in. Late this year or early next year and want to future proof! My 50in. plazma is 11 years old time to go!

Walmart too - https://www.walmart.com/ip/Roku-S.../300825724.
Too bad their Ultra LT exclusive model isn't on sale...I would prefer that over the clunky daisy-chained stick.

On sale at the official roku.com too for the same price - https://www.roku.com/products/str...stick-plus

Stick+ has better WiFi range thus $10 more. If you don't mind something larger, Ultra is the best.

You don't necessarily need a 4K TV as there are varying models that also work with 1080p TVs. That said, in general Roku and other streaming devices (e.g. Amazon Firestick) allow you to load apps, similar to a smart phone. Some TVs have apps built in already so it's very much like that. Roku also has its own app and free programming that comes with; however commercials are played in between much like regular tv or select content apps.

I own several of these devices and each has pros and cons. The pro I like about Roku and won me over is the remote control and overall app platform (loads relatively fast and responds fairly quickly- to me). The biggest con so far is they have not reached an agreement with HBO yet and does not have a HBO Max app (it does have HBO GO though).
