For a second I thought they made a documentary about a Mortal Kombat character...

Amazon Prime's selections come and go - just like the other providers - so it's good to own it in your own library.

Thank you, OP. Always wanted to see this as it was one of the Roger Ebert's favorite films. His review: https://www.rogerebert.com/review...araka-1992

VERY COOL MOVIE!!

Ok, this is absolutely not for everyone. It's just a bunch of cinematography set to a usually haunting soundtrack. It takes you through a lot of emotions, but there's a while in the middle where it starts becoming downright terrifying.

It's got a vaguely leftist message about the evils of the industrial world, the virtues of the Third World, and probably some other stuff I forgot about, but I don't think it hits you over the head with any of it. I'd say from an argumentative standpoint, while it has a vaguely leftist point of view, it's a very fair and intelligent argument.

Is has a part that some people will consider to be child-pornography. It lines up a bunch of little girls from some primitive tribe and as it pans over them, it seems to focus a little too much on their exposed genitalia.

Still, I found it a fantastic show and well worth watching. If you enjoy this, you may also enjoy Samsara (also "free" on Amazon Prime right now), and the Koyaanisqatsi series (which I can't find in HD).

Here's my favorite part of this movie: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2...tUg&t=258s
