Good deal on a nice hub I've seen referenced a few times on this board. Note the price is different for the the black vs grey models--from another thread "the "black" one (C71) is a little different than "grey" (C77) in that it has (2) 3.0 USB and (1) 2.0 USB, as opposed to the (3) 3.0 USB on grey"

On a separate note, for work from home it's *so* nice to have a single usb-c cable to plug in for laptop charge/multimonitor setup/etc (and ethernet jack which my thin-and-light laptop does not have) . . . basically I just keep everything plugged into the hub and when I bring my laptop in for work, I just have to deal with a single small cable for everything...

I have it and it's great. One of the few USB C hubs that has ethernet and doesn't immediately burn out like the 5 Anker adapters I went through.

Wish the USB C attached cable was longer so I could hide the hub.

Previous Aukey adapter I purchased from Amazon similar to this one (also on a Slickdeal), now has significant coil whine. I would not recommend getting this adapter from this brand.

I have the version without Ethernet. Very happy with it, no issues.

I know what you mean, had to grab a USB c extension cable to hide mine.

Does that affect bandwidth, like with thunderbolt? At a certain length, thunderbolt wires need to be active (vs passive) to keep maximum speeds.

I have this and a few other brands from various slick deals in the past year. I bought a 3' extension and had inconsistent issues with all of them. Issue went away after I plug direct. So the issue was the cable. I got another extension from another brand and same issues. Got a shorter cable of maybe 1' and no issues. Deduced that it was cable length.

The inconsistency wasn't any one thing. Randomly my devices would disconnect and the Ethernet wouldn't work.

As a note you can't get dual 4k (or 2k) without a Thunderbolt hub. Made that mistake myself

I have this hub and one thing to note is that it only supports 100W if you run a firmware update via Windows (even though the update was released so it would support the 16" MacBook) and the firmware installer doesn't seem to work for most people. I couldn't get it to work and people on their website report the same.
