Every farking luxury watch thread, the gutter trash rolls in bitch and complain...

Wish they would just go back to their TMobile/Kohl's coupon deals begging for $1 AGC in exchange for their free codes.

How could anybody justify spending $2000 on a watch??
This would be the 6th priciest watch I own.

Even if I left alone the ignorance behind trying to determine what someone else needs to "justify" to you, watches are often decent investments. Lots of watches appreciate in value and are worth more today than when they were purchased. I am not "wealthy" by any means, but my watch collection is a valuable portion of my assets. If you wouldn't judge me based on what stocks or funds I choose to invest in, why would you judge me based on what commodities I choose? Would you get bent out of shape if I bought art? or gold bars?

The sad fact is that just about everyone that whines about how other people spend their money on expensive items, are terrible with money.

I've spent more than that on a watch... Is it a ripoff, probably. But its an heirloom item you can pass down to your kids... Which then they'll probably pawn it for 45 bucks, and fight over who gets the leftover 5...
A $2000 watch from a gray-market dealer isn't an heirloom.

I didn't say this one specifically, the question was why would someone spend $2000 on a watch... I said I spent more than $2000 (so obviously not this watch)... I wouldn't buy this, I don't like this brand... I was responding why someone might spend thousands on a watch...

But either way, any somewhat decent quality mechanical watch can be an heirloom, most will run forever if taken care if. I have vintage mechanical watches, that are much older than I am, from brands in almost all price ranges that run great and I wear regularly. If I knew who my dad was, and he gave me one of them, its now a family heirloom. 👍

Most strangers won't be impressed by this. You need a Rolex for that.

Other than watch people, almost nobody knows what a Breitling is.

How can anybody justify spending the money for a BMW or Mercedes when a 10,000 Mitsubishi Mirage will get you from A to B jus the same?

Rappers and John Travolta know.

Gotta love the haters in watch posts. Everyone has a thing they spend money on because they like it. It could be something as simple as better ply toilet paper to gaming PC's. Don't know why theres always people that care about what others spend their money on.

How can anybody whine about staying poor and not work to enjoy the finer things in life?
