Very interesting, anyone have experience with these? I have a Kuat NV 2.0 on backorder and would prefer to spend 1/4 the price on this if it's a good 4 bike carrier.

Honestly, this looks like a harbor freight cargo rack with some cheap wire metal loops. Itll probably work, but nowhere near the quality of a kuat. It doesnt even fold up if not in use.

Thanks, I think you talked me off the ledge. The Kuat is expensive but comes with a lot of quality and conveniences.

I happen to have the Kuat NV 2.0 and have a trailer similar to this and can tell you that the NV 2.0 will definitely secure this a whole lot more than this trailer can. Even if you were to strap it down securely. And not to mention, loading and unloading the bikes on the NV 2.0 will be a breeze compared to having to configure bikes on this guy. But, I definitely see your concern with the Kuat being on backorder. I guess it's more of a "if you can wait, I would recommend waiting for it" type of thing

I have the black steel version and I have no complaints about it. It works great, fits 4 bikes, easy to load, bikes are secure and I don't have any safety concerns using it. Also another reason I got it is that I can use it as a cargo hauler when not carrying bikes.

I have been in the manufacturing and importing side of the RV Accessory and Trailer Accessories business for 20 years. This unit is basically a modified standard cargo carrier which a couple of factories in China have been making for many years. It will work, but will not offer the level of engineering, fit and function that a Kuat, Thule or Curt carrier will offer.

I have literally received free samples of carriers from small names, and choose to use my Curt 4-tray carrier with locks over them all. No rattles, holds the bikes secure and is way easier to load and unload. The folding function of a bike carrier is invaluable!

These below go on sale for about 90$
This one is light weight and easy to install alone, and folds up. You can also buy the bike add-on if needed. The floor is steel and strong.

I use it often and it is great. Much more useful than roof top cargo, or other box cargo carriers. Get a $60 rainproof bag and thats it.

For bikes I use a SportsRack/Thule 4 bike RidgeSwing away carrier. Its about $300 but all bike related gear have gone up.
I have a couple pricey bikes and the others are under $600, so I can see if you have pricey bikes and dont want any contact issues the Kuat maybe a good option. But if you got kids bikes or bikes under $500, I see no point in a Kuat and the like. They are super expessive.

Anyone know if this accommodates fat tire bikes or another that doubles as bike rack and cargo carrier?

Found the answer to my question. Max tire size 2.5 inch, so no fat tire. Also, cheaper here https://www.sportsmansguide.com/p...jQQAvD_BwE
