I own 4 of these so far 3 months in and they are doing their job! Besides a one sec delay for live view notifications which I dont mind the price for these beats any other wireless battery operated cams. I did buy the 3 cam kit with the free show 5 through bestbuy though so that made it even more worth it for this price.

Same. I don't want to pay a monthly price for a ring doorbell and this is perfect!

When it says 'free cloud storage up to a year' does that mean that it will hold 1 year of history? Or that after 1 year you have to start paying for cloud storage?

"Free cloud storage up to a year without monthly fees or service contract required"

A. free for only a year, and after that you have to pay?

or

B. you get to keep a year worth of videos, and the cloud service is always free?

I'm hoping for another BF price deal of $50 a camera. I like getting the 2 cam kits so i have more options with the sync modules. Some cameras I disable while others I keep rolling. If you only have one sync module, you won't have that option.

I've used a blink system for two and a half years. I auto delete clips after 3 days (so my storage is always less than 10% full) but you can save up to a year if you have the storage. Just manually delete clips that you don't want to save. I have never paid for anything extra with Blink. Easy to download clips to your movie folder if you have something you want to save long term.

There is no monthly fees. I have never paid for any cloud service outside of these cams.

The free cloud storage stores a certain amount hours, after that it overwrite your oldest clips. If I had to guess it probably stores about 4-5 hours worth of video clips before it starts to auto-delete.

The 2 year battery life is sort of marketing gimmick. Its 2 years battery life on the lowest setting 480p and lowest recordable time (10 secs clips) and only recording 2-3 sessions a day. Battery life last for roughly 53,870 seconds.

Now for the cameras, it is only good in low traffic areas imo. If you put it in high traffic areas, be prepared to change the batteries every month or so. It's an okay system but I wouldn't use it at a business or anything serious, don't expect it to catch faces or license plates etc.

What happens to the cameras after the battery dies in ~2 years.

Edit: It appears you replace the 2-AA batteries.
