Hydro flask was one of the original vacuum thermos, years before Yeti.

Thank you!! My wife got a yeti tumbler as a gift and she loved it. I'm kinda jealous so now I can have one of my own (and not stealing her)..I read hydroflask is the best in tumbler business.

i drive for fedex and fill it up about 10 times a day. by the end of my day (9ish hours on road) i still have some ice jiggling around the cup. it's worth the $22.

That's quite a lot of hydration

Have 1 also... I'm not crazy about the lid.
BTW- the Yeti lid (30oz) with the magnetic slide cap works on this tumbler.

You're paying extra for the name. Ozark insulated tumblers from Walmart work just the same for probably a 1/3 of the price.

Strange they don't show a picture of the lid or really even describe it. That's probably the biggest difference between most of these tumblers I've had.

I'm disappointed in the hydro flask. My wife got one a couple of years ago. The ice only lasts a couple of hours. I can only assume it lost its vacuum somewhere along the way. I get about the same from a regular glass. I have a 40 oz vacuum cup at work. I have filled it on a Friday and forgot to empty it at the end of the day. It will still have ice in it on Monday morning.
(edit) my work cup is a 40 oz Ozark from Walmart. It was a slick deal buy in Dec 2017 for $6.

I don't think those FedEx trucks are air conditioned. Driving around in the summer will definitely dehydrate you.

Agreed. I have both a HydroFlask and Ozark and found that they both keep ice well and the Ozark was very inexpensive.

Send it back to HydroFlask for a warranty replacement. I've had to send back several water bottles, and it's been very easy and they sent me a new one.

Not sure if that says anything if I had to use their warranty alot.....Roll Eyes (Sarcastic)

Either way you choose, an insulated tumbler is awesome and this is a good price for HF.

I have the Yeti 30oz tumbler. I use it every day. Mine and this one both weigh 1lb empty, which I'd think may be too heavy for everyday use for some. But I don't mind it at all. Even if you don't want to use this every day I'd think most will find an occasional use for it (long car ride, day at the beach, watching kid's sports event, etc).

Since these vacuum tumblers prevent condensation on the sides, almost all of the thermal transfer occurs at the lid. If it's just sitting stationary the contents will keep their temperature for much longer than if it's sloshing around and coming in contact with the lid.
