~$9 each, not a bad price. Anyone with experience?

Not personally, but as you say $9 each (or just under), if they're no good will just return them. Easy enough with Amazon.

I jumped on the 4 bulb pack. ~$33 with tax for 4 bulbs is a good deal. If they're not good, I'll just return.

I have these. You don't need a hub but do need the app. Installation is easy enough you screw them in and then pair them to the app by turning them off and on one at a time. They connect via 2.4ghz but once they're connected your phone can be on 5ghz and still control them even though they're on the 2.4ghz. From the app you can group and name the bulbs so you know which is which. The color wheel gives you pretty much any color you'd like and the cool white is very cool which was important to me. I got the 4 pack for 33.99 and was not disappointed.

I like the price. But I don't really want to install another app to control them. Trying to stick with kasa. Maybe I'll just get it to do the color thing for the 4 light fixture in front of the house on st Patrick's, Halloween and Xmas.

I've been trying to replace my old wink bulbs and these could be nice for my kids rooms. Like it has been said, it's Amazon so if they are not good, at least they can be easily returned.

That's what I did last week, I returned mine. Wasn't crazy about the color temperature, but that was just a personal preference. I felt it was too warm. Other than that, they work as intended. Fastest smart bulbs I've ever owned, no delay, faster than LIFX, Sengled, Sylvania, and Ohlux that I've tried. Works w Nooie app or urlhasbeenblocked. Nooie was a little more diff to use Bc it kept resetting my settings, but it felt like it had better color manipulation

I have similar by a different company. Same price and no hub needed. The app is amazing and links to Alexa. You can program to turn the lights to 2700K at sunset etc. While these bulbs give out full rated lumens in white color, the lumens in a colored output are clearly less.

Can you set a default start color for these bulbs like you can with Philips hue? Like if you cut off power from the main switch and then turn it back on, does it fall back to the default yellow color?

I wonder how these would work being rigged to the back of a TV as ambient lights.
The Philips Ambient lights are basically the same thing except elongated and $100+ more..

That's because your 2.4 and 5 are just different radios but on the same network/router... Lol
