Out of curiosity, what's the difference and which one is preferred? I know I can go do search but I have got better advice here than general searches. My Vizio 70" just went black. Since it still has audio and I can see something if I light a flashlight at it my guess is that the backlight is gone and I can't find what might be replacement parts for it. So now I'm being careful with the next one.
Full Array back-lit televisions have multiple LED zones throughout the display, and Direct Lit TVs, like Full Array TVs, have LEDs placed throughout the back of the television (but fewer of them). Full Array w/ local dimming (FALD) is preferred, but this TV does not have local dimming. So what's the point? I think it's Hisense Marketing BS trying to con consumers into believing they're getting something that they're not. Somebody please chime-in if there's real advantages of Full Array (w/o local dimming) over Direct-Lit.

I have the 65 inch version of this TV. Android TV is 100% garbage. It is unbearably slow.

If you must absolutely buy this TV, I highly recommend getting a Roku with it.

Heads up to anyone looking to connect to a 5.1+ soundbar or AVR via optical, all Hisense Android TVs have a major bug in transcoding audio to from DD+ 5.1 to DD 5.1... a few apps will do so correctly (Netflix, Vudu, Plex with the propper app settings) but most (Disney+, Movies Anywhere, Play Movies, etc) will either not output any audio or transcode 2.0 into a DD5.1 stream (which disables your AVR or soundbar's ability to apply ProLogic matrix decoding). The only way to get output over optical that works with every app is to fall back to 2.0 PCM. This may not be a deal-breaker for many, but could cause some frustration for anyone looking for 5.1 over Optical... so be forewarned.

If you have an AVR or soundbar that supports ARC over HDMI, the 2020 G models and 2019 F models that have been updated to Android Pie seem to have functioning ARC support, but the Optical output bugs persist even after the Pie update.

As for local dimming, I'd be interested to see how many zones. On my 50H8F, it's only 32 zones and often does more harm than good. Halos and pumping are commonly visible on screens with loading graphics and large contrast shifts (bright foreground against dark background or vice-versa). I keep local dimming off for SDR and on the low setting for HDR/DV content for this reason. This is less of an issue on the larger sets with more zones, but neither Hisense or Best Buy list the number of dimming zones for the H670G series sets.

I'm not saying I wouldn't buy this TV... I actually probably would if I had space for a 70" (living room is limited to 50" due to custom frame over fire place, 70" is just too big for master bedroom, and theater is 125" 2.35:1 front projection) and assuming Android TV ran at least as well as it does on my 50H8F... just want folks to be aware of some of the niche-specific issues of the Hisense Android TVs.

How's the rest of the quality of the tv? It's so cheap it's hard to not want to buy it.

I picked one up yesterday and installed it. A little vertical banding (not enough to notice displaying college football), not that bright, sound is terrible (I don't use it). Otherwise it is a great TV always playing Apple music with lyrics and ESPN sports.

It's not my OLED, but who cares. It's yuge and great for my living room

Mine runs off my Apple TV 4K (4K60 HDR 422 no match). I never even set up wifi on the TV.

My 5 year old 55" Hitachi Sam's Club $250 special died on Sunday. This replaced it.

Edit: HDMI CEC works great. Sleeps when I sleep the ATV, wakes when I hit a button. I ONLY use the ATV remote as I cannot stand multiple remotes and this TV works great in that manner. Receiver is a Yamaha with a 3.1 setup.

Edit 2: while setting it up, the included remote also controls the ATV via CEC. The included remote is just a giant plastic POS.

any reason why you didnt consider the LG at Target/BB for $580? I am torn between the 2. I actually ordered the LG from Target and need to make a decision today on whether to pickup from the store or not. Paying <$600 for a 70" is unbelievable and not sure if anything better will popup anyway for Black Friday

Just go to best buy and stare at an oled and then stare at a budget tv. The difference is literally night and day.

And then hold your wallet up to your ear and listen to it cry.....

You want "Awesome"? OLED!

You want "It's OK"? Buy this instead.

Are there 2 stand positions? A wider slot and one closer to the center of the tv?

Also, I see that it uses M6 screws - any idea what length screws are needed?

There does look to be 2 stand positions. One 30 inches apart and one 50 inches apart.

I did not attach a stand. It's wall mounted.
