The DWS 715 saw, with a single bevel and no XPS, also is back on sale for $199 at Amazon [amazon.com].

It's out of stock at ACME, but you can still order. Says it will ship in 2-3 weeks. If you pay with Paypal via Discover, and are signed up for the quarterly cash back special at Discover, you can get an additional 5% CB. So after the sale, coupon code and 5% CB, net price is $256 + tax.

AcmeTools is offering an additional 10% off this weekend with code WEEKEND10. I used it to buy the DWS779 for $330, or you could use it for this saw to bring it down to $270

I'd say if someone truly needs a miter saw right now then it's not a bad offer, but this isn't the best time to buy one. I bought mine in December of 2018 and I got the DWS779 miter saw (priced $448) and that DWX725B stand (priced $119) for only $311.64. On post #69 I added a copy of my order. Great deals are out there, but you just have to keep your eyes out for them.

hmm... 779 is $369 now @Acmetools; 10% brings it down to $332. Did I miss something?

update - nevermind. you are saying $270 for this saw.

They are two totally different tools. Table saws are best for cutting large pieces like plywood and the miter saw is better at cutting smaller pieces and angles for things like picture frames or crown molding.

You said yourself in one of your previous posts that you got lucky in that they were running a different combo and allowed you to change out the saw since they were similarly priced. I'd say a one-off lucky deal shouldn't be used as a determinator for how good a deal is.

Congrats that you got a great deal, but unfortunately we can't replicate your deal from 2-years ago.

Thank you, but I was merely advising that some of the better deals for power tools that I've found have been during the months of June and December. So, just to reiterate, I was just pointing out that this is not the time that the consumer will find the best deals on power tools.
