Microsoft Surface Pro 7 i5 $700 128GB 8GB Ram $699.99

Microsoft - Surface Pro 7 - 12.3" Touch Screen - Intel Core i5 - 8GB Memory - 256GB Solid State Drive (Latest Model)

$699.99 ($200 off) if you select:

Platinum, Intel Core i5, 8GB Ram, 128 GB SSD

Store: Microsoft.com

Not the best price ever, and does not include any accessories.
However I found the Pen ($79 blue) and Type cover ($89 black) for discounted prices in the add-ons sections and got the whole setup for under 900 before tax.

Considering buying this as an Xmas gift for the wife.

Any expectations on a better opportunity or might as well get it now? Not looking for ABSOLUTE lowest price- just a good deal.

I would wait for Surface Pro 8 that may come out in October. Pro 7 would then probably drop a bit more. If Pro 8 has the new Gen 11 Core i5/i7 then it should be 20-30% faster and have double graphics performance. If video games is not the use case then a cheaper Pro 7 might be a better value.

Best Buy will probably have a bundle deal closer to Black Friday.

Same specs? Core I5, 8GB, 128 GB SSD with pen and type cover? That is a good deal if yes.

Please do not waste your time on this crap. Had mine for 2 months (from Costco deal) and the battery life is HORRIBLE. I mean HORRIBLE. Did I say HORRIBLE? Even with battery saving measures. It's going back soon.

Xmas is 3+ months away. That's a long time in tech especially with new fall releases just around the corner.

Costco adds an extra year of warranty, and if you buy with your Costco Visa, you get two additional years (4 years total).
