Heads Up: Starting Sep 17th, 2020 - GeForce RTX 30 Series Bundle Brings You Watch Dogs: Legion and a 1-Year GeForce NOW Subscription for FREE

Enjoy,

This is a win-win deal for a major upgrade (if the confirmation and early leak benchmarks are true) and for those who are on the fence about buying the game. The free GeForce NOW sub is just a cherry on top. Obviously, used market will be flooded with cheap 20 series cards. A quick look on Ebay will give you a good $500-ish 2080 TI [wccftech.com], which was previously a $1200-ish flagship card. History repeats itself.

Official Announcement
[nvidia.com]

Official YouTube Game Trailer [youtube.com]

"... If you purchase one of these new GPUs or a pre-built GeForce RTX 30 Series PC at a participating partner, you'll get a PC digital download copy of Watch Dogs: Legion, and a 1-year subscription to our GeForce NOW cloud gaming service, enabling you to play your PC games on other devices and when you're away from home.

This offer extends only to select GPUs made by NVIDIA and our partners, and is available only at participating retailers and e-tailers, a full list of which will be available on our GeForce RTX 30 Series Bundle homepage come September 17th. So before you buy, be sure to check that your purchase is eligible for the bundle...."

and more info here [culturedvultures.com]

"...The offer will last up until October 29th, and its available at participated retailers. Word of warning though, the GeForce Now code will need to be redeemed by November 30th, and the one year period will begin from the moment its activated, so you've got a bit of wiggle room to get your RTX 3000 series set up before you make use of that code...."

Also, check out 3090 [nowinstock.net], 3080 [nowinstock.net], and 3070 [nowinstock.net] in-stock tracker.

and for your reference, Ebay 3090 [ebay.com], 3080 [ebay.com] and 3070 (TBA).

Their pricing makes a lot more sense this generation. I feel bad for the ppl they took for $1200 for a 2080 that's about to be beat by a $700 3080
So many people selling their 20s on offer up for more than u can get a 30 series. They going to lose soo much money.

I'm just waiting for pre-order info. I will be buying a 3080 the instant they are available.

I was really hoping for cyberpunk 2077 to be bundled. I got excited when they showcased cp2077 in the reveal. Oh well, might be able to sell the code and recoup some of the cost as I'm not interested in watch dogs

My wife and I have been waiting for this announcement before upgrading (we currently have a 1050ti) and getting a new desktop gaming rig. But these 30 series are way cheaper than I thought they'd be! Will 20 series pre-built PCs come down that much anytime soon? Or should we wait to get a 30 series? Our budget is about $1500 (ideally including at least an i7). But we also would prefer not to wait until Black Friday. We don't need the slickest of deals, but we don't want to be foolish and waste money.
This is a massive generational leap, I'd strongly encourage you to get a 3000 series. The $500 3070 is marketed as (note mild scepticism we haven't seen independent bench marks yet only performance on cherry picked games) better than the $1200 2080ti. You shouldn't have a problem even getting a system with a 3080 for $1500.

Same here. I usually go EVGA but a CP2077 bundle would get me to switch.

Need some help guys... My current setup is an i7 6700k, gtx 1080, 16gb ram.... Looking to upgrade. What do you guys suggest gpu wise, 3080 or 3070? I'd love to get the 3090 but it's a bit outta my price range. I'm assuming I'd have to upgrade my CPU as well, what do you suggest? And also with the new CPU, a new Mobo too? Thanks guys. Any suggestions/help would be great.

Honestly no one will be able to answer your question with the info you gave us. Whats the purpose of getting a new gpu for you? If gaming.. What games are you playing? Video editing? What kind of video editing are you doing? Youtube/streaming? Just stick with your 1080 if you just want to watch movies.

Also if both gpu are in your budget you might as well get the 3080.

Gaming man. Strictly gaming. I have it setup with a 1440p 144hz monitor and using my LG oled as a second display... Unfortunately the OLED is a 2016 model doesn't have HDMI 2.1

2 generations of upgrade is perfect but you're minimizing that excitement by stepping down to a 3070. If you aren't trying to jump to a 2080 then I wouldn't do a 3070 either, even if the 3070 will be faster.

Also it ALWAYS depends on your goal. If you're gaming on 1080p or 1440p60hz then you need to revisit where you first spend the money. Staying with an XX80 series is just for the fun that comes with it personally lol.

Depends if you have any CPU throttles, but yes going 8000+ series and up will need a new mobo.

Yeah I feel bad for the people that have had top tier performance GPUs for 3 years instead of waiting 3 years...

Nvidia is not allowing anyone to have pre-orders. Actually a good policy imo, prevents the hoarders having hundreds on hand day 1.

Yah I'm hearing the right move would be the 3080. What CPU and Mobo do you recommend with it?

Go with 3080. The price point on the 3080 is reasonable. And sounds like its in budget for you. As far as your system goes you probably due for an upgrade in about 2-3 years.

Anyone have experience with microcenter? I finally live near one. Think they will be sold out right away when they release?
