Heads Up: Starting Sep 17th, 2020 - GeForce RTX 30 Series Bundle Brings You Watch Dogs: Legion and a 1-Year GeForce NOW Subscription for FREE

Enjoy,

This is a win-win deal for a major upgrade (if the confirmation and early leak benchmarks are true) and for those who are on the fence about buying the game. The free GeForce NOW sub is just a cherry on top. Obviously, used market will be flooded with cheap 20 series cards. A quick look on Ebay will give you a good $500-ish 2080 TI [wccftech.com], which was previously a $1200-ish flagship card. History repeats itself.

Official Announcement
[nvidia.com]

Official YouTube Game Trailer [youtube.com]

"... If you purchase one of these new GPUs or a pre-built GeForce RTX 30 Series PC at a participating partner, you'll get a PC digital download copy of Watch Dogs: Legion, and a 1-year subscription to our GeForce NOW cloud gaming service, enabling you to play your PC games on other devices and when you're away from home.

This offer extends only to select GPUs made by NVIDIA and our partners, and is available only at participating retailers and e-tailers, a full list of which will be available on our GeForce RTX 30 Series Bundle homepage come September 17th. So before you buy, be sure to check that your purchase is eligible for the bundle...."

and more info here [culturedvultures.com]

"...The offer will last up until October 29th, and its available at participated retailers. Word of warning though, the GeForce Now code will need to be redeemed by November 30th, and the one year period will begin from the moment its activated, so you've got a bit of wiggle room to get your RTX 3000 series set up before you make use of that code...."

Also, check out 3090 [nowinstock.net], 3080 [nowinstock.net], and 3070 [nowinstock.net] in-stock tracker.

and for your reference, Ebay 3090 [ebay.com], 3080 [ebay.com] and 3070 (TBA).

Why would a person need Geforce Now if they have a 3070 or better?
Sometimes you're away from your home, and wanna game?

people buy into the marketing hype like crazy, gamers are pretty gullible.

i picked up a 1080ti after the bitcoin bubble burst for pennies on the dollar years ago, and its been rocking 4k games for years. people will now bend over for the 3000 series, while the 2080/etc will also rock for pennies on the dollar.

i might just snag a used 2080ti in a few months if Cyberpunk turns out to be too much for my 'aging' 1080ti.
I'm selling a 2080 ti with ek waterblock on Reddit for $500.

I cant find confirmed info if these 30 series gpu have the new 12pin connector. Anyone have any info on it?

And are Founder Editions the same as 3rd party vendors gpus? I always thought the 3rd party perform better than than the FE.
IIRC from the presentation the 3080+ do and come with a converter for 2x8-pin to 12 pin. I think the 3070 just has one 8-pin but I may be wrong.

Each vendor will make minor variations to their cards so no they are not exactly the same.

Sold my RTX 2080 Ti for $900 just last week, paid $1000 two years ago, so I'm just debating on whether I go full hog with an RTX 3090 or get the small upgrade with the RTX 3080. In the meantime I'm gaming on a 1080p monitor again with a Radeon 570 and really it ain't that bad!

Just a piece of advice for anyone thinking about 4K, the grass isn't always greener. If you are looking to upgrade from 1080p to a higher resolution, I would definitely recommend going 1440p, it is the sweet spot in terms of price to performance. The only way I would go 4K is if you are using an Ultrawide WQHD monitor or a 43 inch 4K monitor (like myself).
Get the BFGPU!

got a couple questions thats a bit off topic:

1)ive seen youtube vids on theses cards but i dont remember anyone of them mentioning any ti ver..can we expect a ti ver out next year?

2)i got a 1080ti, and the majority of comments and opinions say its worth the upgrade to 3000 series, but a few people mentioned 1080ti still has more vram than the 3080 and others stated they're even gonna wait for the 4080, is the improvement big enough to upgrade from a 1080ti? especially if i can sell my 1080ti for $400 within this week? i know the longer i wait to sell the lower the value

Rumours of ti versions of the 3070 and 3080 with the double the RAM (16 and 20 GB respectively) are out there, but they are just that, rumors.

Have you got a source for this? I'd be interested to read if so.

Given the 3080 is much more powerful than the 2080 ti, and games will only be more demanding from here.

The Ti or Super versions probably depend on how AMDs cards perform.

I'm not sure why everyone's crapping on the 2080 Ti. It came out two years ago and held its own to this day. I sold for 1.3K a few weeks ago expecting a generational leap. We don't have official benchmarks other than Nvidias so there is that as well.

My wife and I have been waiting for this announcement before upgrading (we currently have a 1050ti) and getting a new desktop gaming rig. But these 30 series are way cheaper than I thought they'd be! Will 20 series pre-built PCs come down that much anytime soon? Or should we wait to get a 30 series? Our budget is about $1500 (ideally including at least an i7). But we also would prefer not to wait until Black Friday. We don't need the slickest of deals, but we don't want to be foolish and waste money.
i agree w/Helicon_1, if you've read forums and watched vids, you always hear .."i feel bad for people that bought the 2000's series.." im sure there's plenty of reasons for that

1) maybe? Always something new on the horizon.

2) Your 1080 ti has gddr5 mem. The 2080 ti and 30070 has gddr6, while the 3080 and 3090 have gddr6x. So although you'll have less mem, moving data in and out will be faster, especially on the 3080 and 3090. They can transfer 2 bits of data every phase shift.

Their pricing makes a lot more sense this generation. I feel bad for the ppl they took for $1200 for a 2080 that's about to be beat by a $700 3080
Don't feel bad for me, I've had the best card out for 2 years (2080ti) and I'm still getting a 3080.

Probably will replace my wife's 1080ti with the 2080ti.

Seems like this is only going to be an issue for those who want above 60hz/FPS at 4k though?
