Heads Up: Starting Sep 17th, 2020 - GeForce RTX 30 Series Bundle Brings You Watch Dogs: Legion and a 1-Year GeForce NOW Subscription for FREE

Enjoy,

This is a win-win deal for a major upgrade (if the confirmation and early leak benchmarks are true) and for those who are on the fence about buying the game. The free GeForce NOW sub is just a cherry on top. Obviously, used market will be flooded with cheap 20 series cards. A quick look on Ebay will give you a good $500-ish 2080 TI [wccftech.com], which was previously a $1200-ish flagship card. History repeats itself.

Official Announcement
[nvidia.com]

Official YouTube Game Trailer [youtube.com]

"... If you purchase one of these new GPUs or a pre-built GeForce RTX 30 Series PC at a participating partner, you'll get a PC digital download copy of Watch Dogs: Legion, and a 1-year subscription to our GeForce NOW cloud gaming service, enabling you to play your PC games on other devices and when you're away from home.

This offer extends only to select GPUs made by NVIDIA and our partners, and is available only at participating retailers and e-tailers, a full list of which will be available on our GeForce RTX 30 Series Bundle homepage come September 17th. So before you buy, be sure to check that your purchase is eligible for the bundle...."

and more info here [culturedvultures.com]

"...The offer will last up until October 29th, and its available at participated retailers. Word of warning though, the GeForce Now code will need to be redeemed by November 30th, and the one year period will begin from the moment its activated, so you've got a bit of wiggle room to get your RTX 3000 series set up before you make use of that code...."

Also, check out 3090 [nowinstock.net], 3080 [nowinstock.net], and 3070 [nowinstock.net] in-stock tracker.

and for your reference, Ebay 3090 [ebay.com], 3080 [ebay.com] and 3070 (TBA).

You'll be dumb to buy 20 series especially 2080ti unless its ridiculously cheap.

Well, yeah, now people will know not to buy it when you can get the 3070 for much less.

Their pricing makes a lot more sense this generation. I feel bad for the ppl they took for $1200 for a 2080 that's about to be beat by a $700 3080
Tbh I got a 2070S 6 months ago and have played thru like 30 AAA games, 100% worth (ill give it to my gf in a year when I buy a 3070S or something). its all about timing. I feel really bad for people who are just buying 20xx anything though

Do you guys think the 3080 is going to be enough to push over 144 frames on most games on a LG 3660x1600 ultra wide 38 inch? If not, i can easily get the 3090, just don't like the size of it.

SLI for gaming has been dead for a while, makes sense they're only including it in their workstation-oriented card.

Until third party benchmarks have come out, it's all speculation, but good luck trying to do ~4k @ 144fps with AAA games.

Sorry but I'm not waiting for benchmarks this time around, I did that when the RTX was launched and had to wait for months to a get the gpu.
Either that or letting bot scalpers take all the cards available at launch and mark them up 100%-150% on ebay.

Yeah I feel bad for the people that have had top tier performance GPUs for 3 years instead of waiting 3 years...
I'm pretty sure he's referring to the people that bought a new 2080ti in the last few weeks/months. There were plenty of used 2080tis that sold for more than a grand on reddit up until last week.

So I have a 3700x, asus prime x570p, and a 600/80+gold. Would a 3080 work with this config. Have to upgrade power supply at the least?

600 watts should be enough to power your system with the 3080. The 3080 draws less than 350 watts and your 3700x is less than 100 watts. what card are you using now?

My wife and I have been waiting for this announcement before upgrading (we currently have a 1050ti) and getting a new desktop gaming rig. But these 30 series are way cheaper than I thought they'd be! Will 20 series pre-built PCs come down that much anytime soon? Or should we wait to get a 30 series? Our budget is about $1500 (ideally including at least an i7). But we also would prefer not to wait until Black Friday. We don't need the slickest of deals, but we don't want to be foolish and waste money.
At the prices for the 30 series, I wouldn't bother with a 20 series. The performance jump is so big and the price is substantially lower for the value you are getting.

Sold my RTX 2080 Ti for $900 just last week, paid $1000 two years ago, so I'm just debating on whether I go full hog with an RTX 3090 or get the small upgrade with the RTX 3080. In the meantime I'm gaming on a 1080p monitor again with a Radeon 570 and really it ain't that bad!

Just a piece of advice for anyone thinking about 4K, the grass isn't always greener. If you are looking to upgrade from 1080p to a higher resolution, I would definitely recommend going 1440p, it is the sweet spot in terms of price to performance. The only way I would go 4K is if you are using an Ultrawide WQHD monitor or a 43 inch 4K monitor (like myself).
I'm not sure if there are any 4k Ultrawide monitors in existence at 34in+. At least it's hard for to find one. Can you name the 43in one you're using?

SLI never really got the gaming support it needed. Maybe for a something job related yes.
