You bet your sweet aspercreme it is.
I was bummed when they were pressured to change their motto.

Voltaren is NSAID and it works
Voltaren is NSAID so be aware of the side effects especially after long term use.

Different animals. Voltaren is just a brand name for Diclofenac which until a few weeks ago was prescription only. Aspercreme is fine for minor pain (even though not if any studies show pain relief, the "burn" just hides it) but I prefer diclofenac for real pain.

Note that the over-the-counter Voltaren now being sold here is less than half the strength of that sold in Europe.

Not exactly.
The strength of what you can buy here is 1%.
In Europe they do sell the 1% one, but it is also available in 2%.

Exactly. If aspercreme works for someone it's probably safer and the same with OTC lidocaine as opposed to Voltaren.

Correct. Voltaren 1% is also available via prescription in the US and the 2% is a prescription under the name Pennsaid with 2% and 40mg diclofenac for more serious pain.

Voltaren is a lot better but the over counter dose is hefty the goo done require prescription
