It has tanked in value since then and never recovered. And yes, no one does talk about this game anymore like they did before. And if you sold it now you'd be losing money after fees and shipping so it's not really worth more. I don't see how any of this is misleading or how you misunderstood it.
Yeah it lost some of it's scalping value but if you can find a buyer locally on OfferUp, Craiglist, etc. then you don't pay any of those fees, break even, free play of the game. I'm not looking to sell though, I enjoy owning as a collector, nostalgia etc. Can't really place a value on that, then maybe if I lose interest in the future selling it off for what I paid is fine, I'm sure there will still be interest, like there are with GameCube games fetching $60-70 for a good condition copy of Super Mario Sunshine. There's always going to be collector types out there that prefer the OG.

I'm buying the physical regardless, but I wonder if all 3 games will be completley on the card or will it be like other compilation switch games where theres only one game on the card and then you have to download the rest...
It's like 4.7gb in size in the eShop. Seems N will be using 8gb cards. Hate to see they cheapen out for a 4gb card for one game and have the 2 with codes. Nintendo headquarters will be burnt to the grounds. 😆

Best buy just offered a $10 certificate, cancel and re-order I suppose.
Link? I don't see it on the pre-order list.

Got a labor day email from BB with that certificate mentioned. Clicked through and it showed up at checkout.

YMMV I guess.

He can sell it on OfferUp. I have sold and purchase many games via this app. No fees and cash. So easy to sell and fast too.
That's extremely YMMV, unproven, and depends on what the market is like in your local area. I've heard many complaints about those sites being filled with lowballers, scammers, and strange people. Not to mention most are probably cheapskates who don't want to pay the going rate online.

The GC games would also drop like a rock in value if they were reprinted. It's actually funny how the GC is the opposite where the console was considered lame back then (it only sold 22 million compared to the PS2 which sold 155 million) and the games and consoles lost value fast yet years later the games are now way more valuable than most releases on the Xbox and PS2 and many people now view it as the best console of that generation. It's often the games that no one expects to go up in value that do. The DC is another example of this. It was considered lame and flopped with the games being worthless for years yet now if you try to buy any good DC game they're all expensive and everyone now views the console favorably years later.

Anyone feel a vibe Nintendo is testing the waters?
Limited Edition because they don't want to wait to see how long it will take to break even on this idea of remastering or remaking older titles.

I think they want to see how this goes before a Zelda Re-Release. I know they are already going to do Skyward Sword, but may they plan to do Twilight Princess & Wind Waker, but they want to test.thr waters first.

It's Nintendo. I don't think there's anyone doubting that remasters/remakes are going to sell like hot cakes.

Nintendo just keeps putting out same games. I get they are great, but I've purchased these before. Wish I could purchase once and move them from library to library
I was thinking the same thing. Why don't they call it Nintendo Forever or something. You buy Mario 3 for $25, but you get it on every future system. Then again, why earn $25 once, when you can get $5-$15 for every game.

One reason I'll never play an AC game. They're time/production sinkholes.
It definitely is a HUUUGE time sink. I did just get my first blue rose and am feeling very accomplished for some silly reason.

I ended up pre-ordering this anyways because 2 of those mario games I never got to play.

It's this price. The story is that supposedly after a batch this year and early next year, it will be no longer available in the physical form. The individual games will continue to be downloadable from the e-Shop. So some who like to collect things want to get this version, even though who's to say how "limited" it really is. (I don't think each one will come numbered as "#4375 or 50000" or anything like that)

EDIT: given the popularity of the Switch, I'm sure the number made will not be 50000 but more like 500000 or something. BTW just noticed on BB site the basic Nintendo Switch (not Lite) is available at $299 at the moment. not a "deal," but these have been OOS most places, so for anyone wanting to make sure you got one for the holidays, might be a good time to buy even if MSRP.
