I don't see how they will have any slowdown with manufacturing. I can't think of a standard packaging Nintendo game that they've had trouble producing. They could pump out a 1 million units until March if they wanted depending on pre-order sales.
I don't know. Nintendo has had difficulty producing enough of their products plenty of times before. Whether intentional or not... I don't know.

I don't know. Maybe ask the one who brought the wrong case and misleading information on price trend?
No you ask.

The key point is "standard retail game". Sure, they can have manufacturing slowdowns for consoles. It's quite the process to manufacture just 1 unit. But a standard retail case and small switch cartridge? I can't think of a game that they had trouble producing like that... ever and I'm thinking back 10+ years. Of course they can have pre-orders cut off after a certain amount of units are sold. That's an old tactic to ramp up demand. You want it now because you can't have it. Then a few weeks before release, they magically open up pre-orders again and they have an endless supply. But if I were Nintendo I'd let the pre-orders get hammered today. Tell retailers to not stop pre-orders, because they can reach any demand this has. Whether that's 20k units sell today, or 200k+. All they need are plastic DVD cases, a paper insert (the cover that you see on your case) and switch game cases. They have an endless supply of those things.

What you're saying makes sense to me, but Nintendo has made a number of questionable decisions regarding their supply chain logistics before. At any rate, only time will tell.

I'm going to buy a bunch of these and resell them next year
Why would people buy it for more if they can just buy it digitally?

They are hard to find. I had people pay me nearly double when I sold m NES Classic and SNES classic this year. You're confusing limited with rare. These aren't individually serial-numbered collector trophies if that's what you mean.
I got a snes classic in the summer time from Nintendo's online store, the price was practically the same as msrp just with a cardboard box instead of a retail box, but yes it is pretty hard to find brand new in a retail box without paying a fortune

I predict a broader digital release for these games next year, a la carte, after the limited disc release. Probably along with Galaxy 2. Still buying the disc day one though!
Digital is also limited, they'll take it off the eshop next year too. Why? No idea, but that's what they said in the announcement.

Because it's also a limited digital release.

Just Best Buy, so far. Forgot to add date: September 18th. (insert twooooo weeks meme)

Odd that it's a Limited Time, but whatever.
Twwwoooooo weeks. aaarrararggggh. Get ready for a surprise! I hope that is the reference you are talking about. Hilariously any time either my wife or I hear that we automatically without hesitation repeat that line ;P
