Govee is staff buddy it seems

New name on Minger brand.
Previously known on forums for mediocrity and even got banned for break SD terms. Apparently new deal struck as it is not only reinstated but also pushed by staff daily.

might still be good value for you, but take post and votes with some skepticism

BLUETOOTH.

EDIT:
still "Popular" and up to 6Tu 3 hours later

china is willing to pay money for anything and SD seems to want that. Sucks. i gear towards buying either made in america or an american company.

I just got the two pack from the previous deal. They work well in the fridge and you don't need to open the fridge door for the app to read them.

App integration
Whats the benefit of using the app? If you don't need that, they're basically the same?

The only benefit I gathered so far is that it logs the patterns, like if you were trying to track room temps. I like the feature because I can monitor my fridge temp without opening the door.

What do you have in your fridge that requires constant monitoring above and beyond the fridge's built-in thermostat?

Most fridges don't have an actual temp gauge, just a knob. It's an easy way to check your fridge is able to maintain 40deg or lower.

I have a couple Govee Mini and like them (one of mine also in fridge), but realized I way overpaid for them ($12-14) if this one with screen and high/low display is only $9.

How much was your 2-pack of these?

The box freezer in the garage occasionally loses power because storms knock out the gfi outlet it's plugged into. That sensor would save food thawing.....or put a cheap radio on another outlet on the same circuit and as long as you hear it the freezer has power.

I don't have an advanced fridge and I like thay these devices keep logs. I travel for business for a few days at a time. It's nice to have the ability to see if the temp dropped at all while I was away. Always good to know.

In for two to test the freezer alert concept. Had not thought of that... I can also test how long freezer takes to approach thaw at different ambient temps inside and out.
