I can't speak to this item, but I've used BiteAway religiously since 2014 (picked up in Germany before they started importing it). 3-5 seconds of heat (some areas can hurt a bit), but then actually stops the itching. I swear by it. Looks like it's $24.99 AC now.

Slap the part where you have the bite. Same thing.

Pick a fight with your wife. You won't even care about the bug bite anymore.

I have this and love it. If you do it right away when you get the bite, it really reduces the impact. My son also got stung by some hornets four times and we used this right away and he didn't even have any pain after the first day when he got stung.

We just got the one pack for maybe around $8 or so because we wanted to see how it works. I'd buy again and a multi pack to have more available.

I still have those injection syringe from kids antibiotics. Most likely work the same way; this bug bite thing is prob just easier to use and can be done on oneself vs a regular suction syringe will need someone help to focus the bite marks and pull. I guess you are paying for the convenience.

for price comparison:

just need to remove the pointy top to have a larger area even though I think it can work without removing it.
