I am looking to open a high yield savings account. Can someone recommend a better savings account for long term? Limited access is fine.

Also, anyone aware of any ongoing promotions?

This is the saver's friend: https://www.depositaccounts.com/savings/
It would also be useful to subscribe to their newsletter, to get updates on the ranking, and the overall status of the economy / FED decisions etc.

If you're willing to have a checking account, there are a number of places that are offering higher rates. Here's one list: https://www.depositaccounts.com/c...ounts.html
Note that you have to swipe your debit card 10 or more times per month and some require either a deposit or billpay. I do a $5 billpay per month that is done automatically to meet that requirement when it exists.

amex bank is dropping to 0.6% tomorrow hahaha

I expect other banks to follow.

Time to cash out and do swing trades in the stock market.

the bank interest rates are laughable.

I've been using Discoverbank, but they also are down to .6%. Has anyone had experience with Chime? Only reason I heard of Chime is that I read a cnbc story that they are worth more than Robinhood. They offer a 1% savings account.

Ally followed up they are going 0.6% 9/26/20. Sucks I locked up some savings from Ally at .75% its not a lot, but its better than 0.6%.

i just finished a 11-month 2.25% CD at ally recently, and moved all my money out to stock brokerage.

With september sell off, it's a good time to get into some large cap stocks with dividends

much better than these shitty nonexistent bank interest rates.

Hell, even buying citibank stock and getting 4.84% dividend is better than this shit.

citibank ain't going anywhere. too big to fail

I came here looking to see if anybody had anything better than the 0.6% Ally was offering (since dropping me from the 2% I got in at) and you hit the nail on the head of what I've been thinking of doing. Applause

Until the market crashes if the crazies win the election. People are bailing on the market or will pretty soon as they go to safer positions before the election.
