I use the green one, the one for tight spaces.

What it does is get between your teeth to get the stuff that flossing leaves behind - and you would be amazed at what flossing leaves behind. My wisdom teeth have small gaps between them, and food loves to get logged in there. Flossing isn't enough, and I had chronic gum pain until I started using these - they get out the bits of meat that flossing misses, and keeps my gums from getting infected. If it wasn't for these, I'd be hurting every single time I ate streak or pork chops.

Now, you do need to employ common sense. Don't shove it between your teeth if the gap is too small, don't force it, and keep in mind that it does wear out over time, so don't keep using the same one over and over until it breaks off in your teeth.

Edit: And lest you be concerned, my dentist recommended I get an inter-dental brush. Using them once a day keeps the gum disease, inflammation, and pain away.

17.24(after tax) for 12 packs of sixteen(each) interdental brushes. Usually about 3 bucks each, so I'll happily take that.

So what is that and why do you love it so much?

EDIT: one review states: bought this without checking with my spouse who is a dentist. I am not allowed to use these at home.

I'm told these could hurt very badly and aren't safe/advisable to use over a longer period of time.

Yeah a lot of people have teeth too close together for these to work properly. It can cause damage/trauma to your gums and they can start to recede over time.

My dentist actually was the one who introduced me to these and stated that these would be better than using floss because I can use it after every meal and at night so it reduces the food stuck inbetween. Dentist noted on the next cleaning I had after introducing it that there was definitely less plaque. I would just be careful of what size because the orange is for normal gaps but for tight gaps between teeth, go for the green and super wide the blue would suffice.

I just got in on the same deal.
They're $3.89 each in store, so it's about 66% off.

I wish I could use these, I hate flossing, but they wouldn't be able to get between most of my teeth the way floss (barely) can.

My kids have braces, and teeny teeth spaces(brackets, not just in-between teeth). These are what the ortho recommended when they got put on, and what they've used since. This is a huge discount on something they use daily.
