Thanks! I tried couple of times, my total is going above $800 for the same config. Not sure why different prices on different computers.
$800 for me too

Will Lenovo price match the deal from Aug 1? This deal seems to be better than the Aug one
No definitely not.

I feel like Lenovo is the only company making a genuine effort to bring AMD powered laptops to market.
And yet no 1440p or 4K display options on ANY of their AMD laptops. I wonder how much Intel paid them to do that.

seems a good deal, but an 8 core CPU for a thin and light notebook? a bit concerned about overheating.

Can anyone educate me on how this processor compares with my i7-5600U. Even tho mine is i7, it's painfully slow. Dunno if there are wrong settings or alike, but I want to throw it in the window sometimes.
Dis one is way better. i7-5600U is not only 5 years old, but it's a mere dual-core. The Ryzen 7 here is 8 cores.

It ain't *that* thin and light. I wouldn't put this sucker in an X1 chassis.

On paper, about 5x as fast. In practice it can be anywhere from 2x to 20x as fast depending on the software... but for most applications, expect 3x-8x the speed.

This is not a good way to describe the performance difference, but it's the simplest way.

The Ryzen will completely destroy the i7. No contest. You will notice a huge difference.

Thanks. Not like I'm a complete idiot, but I stopped following processor trends a while ago, so I appreciate your input. So, on the other hand, I have my work laptop with i7-8850H, which I'm totally happy with. I understand that the work laptop is 3-5 times more expensive than this one but would still love to know how this AMD stands against that high performance Intel professor. Thank you!

On paper, the i7-8850H is about 3x as fast as the i7-5600U. This AMD CPU is about 1.5x as fast as the i7-8850H.

Thanks got x13 with Ryzen 7, 16gb RAM, 300 nit panel, finger print reader, and 128gb nvme for $699 plus 8% cashback and 3% rewards and 1% credit card.
Any chance you can provide more specific details on exactly how you reached the $699 price or step by step instructions. Or ideally the link you used?

I was able to get down to $750.15 (perhaps it was the backlit keyboard that sent me overboard but I can't live without it) through my employers EPP.

Already ordered a T14 but I'd consider cancelling it to get your configuration. I get $800+ like everyone though. BTW, EB was 10%.
