These prices keep dropping and will continue to drop. By 2021 March these will be a lot cheaper.
Like 100$ cheaper?

This is a good deal for most of the specs, but be aware the panels on the Nitro 5 are quite bad. Around 250 nits and 50% srgb. You need to move up to the Nitro 7 or Helios 300 for decent panels.

i7-9750H

With the unveiling of 11th gen intel CPUs, Big Navi and the new nvidia 3000 series, shouldn't we have a massive clearance or fire sale on current laptops?
Yes and I am glad people thumbs up your post because this is about $150 over priced right now.

All the new deals are coming shortly.

I'm going rp-17, this is tempting being slightly cheaper, but I use my laptop for gaming and a lot of multitasking, so it's worth the extra for superior performance.

I've had so many problems with the only Acer laptop I've ever bought, I've written them off. FYI - It's a nitro and looks just like this one.

Got the 15" one in yesterday from the amazon deal. First gaming pc for my family and we had a blast trying out a few steam games (dead by daylight, risk of rain 2, rocket league, etc). All ran flawlessly.

Form factor is a bit unique with all the fans and funky vents, but I suppose all gaming laptops share that.

Battery life was abysmal, although I expected that coming in as gaming laptops are not designed to be battery savers, actually quite the opposite I would tend to think (IE: Powerhouses).

This is like asking whether you should get a bike or a watermelon.

Two totally different uses.

Thanks for this. I was debating this or the 2020 XPS 17. Close to the same specs but it has a UHD+ screen with 100% sRGB and 500 nit brightness. Definitely going to be a battery drainer though.
