For Group 24F battery, Sam's Club is $102.69 - $20 = $82.69 while Costco Interstate is $89.99. 3 years ago, Costco had the same Interstate battery with longer 42 month warranty for $83.99.

I ended up getting a ValuePower 24F (made by Johnson Controls) from Walmart for ~$50 because Costco was out of stock at the time. Only 1 year warranty, hope it lasts at least the 3 years that I got out of an expensive AAA battery.
FYI, I've been using that $50 ValuePower for at least two years now. And that's even using a smaller group than stock. I needed a 24, and there is no 24 ValuePower, so I had to get a smaller 26.

dumb question..... how much it cost to replace the battery in a Tesla?(once it has reached end-of-life)
LOL astronomical ... jk.

In the forums I've seen numbers of $7K-$7.5K for just the battery pack. Someone with a Model S replaced theirs out of warranty for $18K. I would expect the costs to increase for this as well Smilie Though who knows with Elon. Maybe he discovers some crazy battery tech we've never seen.

So I tried to buy this today, added to cart in scan and go, at check out it took off the $20 but ADDED $18!!!! (Product fees). The car parts guy wasn't there as it was after 6pm. I would have tried to see if this issue still persists if I do regular check out.
Anyone had the same issue?

That's probably the core fee. Usually you take the old battery for refund.

You are very welcome. I think the only downside of this deal is you need to keep the Sam's club membership alive for the warranty purpose.

Not in my experience. My first Duracell from batteries plus bulbs lasted about 20 months and had it replaced under warranty. The replacement lasted about the same. The battery from advance auto is still going strong on my other car after 3 years.
Interstate is OEM for many car brands including Hyundai and are supposed to be pretty solid. They last an average of 5-6 years before at least one cell will stop charging. Duracell has some bad reviews online.

Is that really necessary? i wouldn't think the warranty terms say you have to maintain active club membership for the warranty to be valid.

Does Interstate make their own batteries or are they more a marketing and distribution company like Castrol is for motor oils? I believe I had read it was the latter.

Does anybody have experience with getting a battery replacement under warranty at Sam's? Specifically, if i decide not to renew my membership and this battery goes out next year. Are the employees going to be clueless/is scanning the membership card part of the replacement process? Thanks

FWIW, walmart battery replacements are great, you just take it in and they put it in their "testing machine" which takes forever but you eventually walk out with a new battery

edit: upon looking, the replacement period is 3 years so yeah i'd want to be sure that i can easily get it replaced if i'm not a current member, i don't want to end up in a situation where there's 5 employees standing around the cash register figuring out how to do it
New Walmart policy is, they put battery on charge. If it holds charge you get it back. Who the hell is going to waste two hours at Wally. No more batteries at Wally for me

they don't put it into that big machine any longer that takes 45 minutes and eventually say "oh sir this battery is no good" ?

Duracell -> Deka made (Domestic & good)
Interstate -> JCL (imported )
Rural King -> Probably exide Industries made
Walmart -> some are Deka an some are JCL & their non-gold batteries are made all over the world (Korea/Saudi etc)
