New oleds from Vizio? Big price difference from 65 to 55....

Thing is wasn't there a deal on 65" Sony A8H for $2,100 ? I'd rather get the Sony for $100 price difference.

Can't see myself going with this vizio when it's just $100 less than the BX model from LG though. Would like to see $300+ savings on the vizio for me to consider. Heck BuyDig has the 65" BX price the same as this vizio with the $100 visa gc offer.

They all get their panels from LG Display. Don't expect major drops in OLED till you get a chinese company making panels to push pricing down.

Due to binning the panels are not likely to be of the same quality.

Hope the reviews are spectacular so we see some real competition.

They're using lg panels. It'll never be "competition."

Vizio's value proposition is essentially lower price point. Always has been. Just because LG won't go below a certain MSRP at a given screen size, doesn't mean Vizio won't.

Vizio may have their MSRP, but it will be lowered within a few months. Just like Sony's 900h. All way below their msrp

Don't know if they actually do it (binning), but there's always manufacturing variability in quality/performance. LG may be passing on their lower quality/performance panels to Vizio.

Vizio OLED owners thread here. Some people picked it up over Labor Day weekend. Reviews look good so far.

I'm not a gamer so much of this would never apply to me.

If lg is dictating the price they are selling the screens to Vizio for than no, they won't be able to sell for much cheaper

Anyone have a recommendation if gaming isn't a concern at all? I don't care to spend hundreds more for a product that's designed for something I won't use.
