Woot has a 6 pack of fine push brooms for $24.99 or $4.17 each as one of their garage sale items.

Free shipping if you are a prime member.

Brooms come with poles. Reviews look good.

They also have have a six pack of 18 inch brooms for $19.99 or $3.32 each.

Not sure everyone needs 6 push brooms but for those that do, these are some pretty cheap prices for brooms.

Hope this deal helps someone out there.

As one who has worked maintenance/grounds keeping for a large popular outdoor concert venue for 15 years, I can tell you that:

-- metal poles are heavy as hell and you probably don't want them. (All different kinds of problems in winter as well.)

--Wood ones are also heavy and can cause blisters easier as well as splinters (you can sand those down with sandpaper/a rotary tool). However, the connection between the pole and the bristle blade wear down second to least.

-- Plastic are typically light. They cause the least amount of blisters in long usage/hot summers. They seem great at first, but often the connection between the blade/pole often crack in no time. Which is sad. There is usually little to no way to fix that.

=== Fiberglass ones are probably the best all around. They last usually the longest, even under the hardest of abuse/weathering.

The biggest factor for me really (when I buy my own at home) is looking for a bristle blade that does NOT have the middle missing. They are a bit harder to find, but usually don't cost any more. After that, I make sure the connection aspect looks sturdy and like it can take a beating (as every time you lift/set down and push is causing stress on it).

I get why designers thought the middle might be a good idea (it relieves pressure when pushing bigger/heavier items like snow or big dirt piles), but at the expense of leaving a huge streak where you just brushed thru. So you end up doing multiple sweeps, doubling your efforts. And if you sweep puddles of water, it's more than double the effort.
Thanks OP. Really needed a new ride for the mother in law. Now I have some spares for the other in laws as well.
I don't think the bristles are 2 feet long. It's the width of the "brush."

No...did not mean to imply you could purchase one. It's a six pack only.

Wood, I bought my push broom from harbor freight like 6 years ago still going strong. I live in the desert and have left it out in the sun no issues. I wouldn't trust leaving this out in the sun. The quality seems sketch.
