How do I connect a webcam to this monitor without a USB port?

I want to attach wired keyboard and webcam through an usb
You'll need to connect directly to your PC or connect them to a USB hub that is connected to your PC.

I think the chromebit has a max resolution of 1080p, so this monitor would be a little overkill for it.

Why do people assume IPS is better than VA?

The core difference between the two is that IPS has better viewing angles and VA has much better contrast which means better blacks. Everything else is a toss up. IPS does not have better color. High end TV's are either OLED or VA, not IPS.

Given how awful IPS is with respect to black levels, a VA panel is going to look a lot better at night with darker content. Unless you need viewing angles, VA is the way to go.
You may get better blacks with VA, but the color accuracy of IPS panels beats the black levels of a VA panel. The whites on IPS seem to be pure white compared to the off white of VA panels.

I have IPS and VA panel laptops as well as VA 4k TVS and IPS 4k TVS. The color accuracy of IPS along with the white being white, is hard to beat.

Color coverage and color accuracy is on a model and per unit basis. There is no inherent technological advantage from IPS over VA with regards to color. VA has a clear cut advantage over IPS with respect to contrast.

So you can't make a blanket statement that IPS has better colors than VA. You'll have to compare displays against one another.

It has been proven over and over, IPS color accuracy wins over VA. You will not find anyone in the photo or video industry using a VA panel when color accuracy is critical.

I also have put this to the test and while their are a couple of variants of IPS panels, I find the color accuracy to be on point when using an IPS over a VA.

Can you calibrate a VA panel for better color accuracy? Sure, if you want to go thru the time and effort.

Samsung does make monitors with PLS panels, which is their variant of the IPS technology.

Please shed some light on the following subjects:
I'm watching a video, it was showing that using HDMI it is not capable of doing chroma: 4:4:4 which apparently has a huge impact on the text when reading text on the monitor. I ask this, because many these monitors seem to support HDMI inputs but I do not see alternatives.

Is this true? I never heard of this until recently regarding the text and the clarity. I thought HDMI could do much more than chroma: 4:4:0. gaming is great, but I need a 34 inch monitor for clear text, as that is a priority, and gaming as an afterthought. I'm not looking for an ultra wide because I personally prefer the larger screen diagonally vs wide. I also need one more I can adjust the height. I'd rather not break the bank, which is why I was looking for deals here, but I don't see anything that fits. Any help would be appreciated.

I was looking at this monitor, but then it's a HDMI connection which brings me to the original question.

I'm using the display port connection with this monitor...does that help? I'm using it exclusively for work/productivity and text looks great to me.
