Buy one bottle of titebond as it has a good tip. If it gets clogged, use a zip tie to clean it. Then just get a gallon jug of titebond and refill. The biggest problem with this bottle posted comes if your shop doesn't have HVAC. If the temp increases the increased pressure pushes glue out the spout.
That is interesting if it has happened to you. I've never has this happen and have been using these applicators for years. Maybe you are leaving it too full?

Well worth the $6 IMO, or more. I'd pay up to about $20 for one, personally, if that's what they cost. I love how easy it is to dispense, from any angle. The plastic is supple and easy to squeeze. I mostly use it upright as shown in the pictures. Love not having to turn a mustard or regular glue bottle upside down and shake it until the glue is at the correct end to dispense. Also note that even if you don't put the cap on, the glue stays fresh in my experience. I've left it uncapped for several weeks / months and it still easily dispenses first squeeze. I believe this is because the exposure to air is minimal at all times. The only exposure is in the draw tube, so like a sixteenth of a square inch has air exposure. This small area, down in the draw tube, if it starts to dry over, seems to kind seal the rest of it so it can't get in too far, and then since it's so small, it does not impede flow next time you use it.

I haven't had any issues with clogged tips. Of course some does dry there, especially if you forget the cap, but it's generally easy to pick off with fingernails. In this regard I've had less of an issue than with standard titebond dispensing bottles (which are also not really an issue, but if anything, are worse than the gluebot).

I will say this is not the ONLY thing I use for glue. Different projects have specific needs. Especially for big glue ups, I'll have a brush and a small container of open glue for really quick access to as much glue as needed. But I couldn't imagine not having this, especially not for $6. Do you need it? No. But it's a useful thing IMO. As noted above I'll say if you are a really infrequent glue user I would pass. I've had great luck with glue staying fresh but I'm not sure I'd test that for years. For that matter I've had glue start to thicken and "go bad" in regular titebond dispensing bottles too after enough time, so not sure if there would be a big difference.

I had one of these, and it worked OK. However, it did eventually clog and was a pain to clean. A mustard bottle works very well, and let's you be really precise.

Lots of hate on here. I'm a woodworker and absolutely love this thing. I definitely recommend!
Holy crap! I agree! A weird amount of hate. But they don't seem to really hate the product, just hate that someone else might want to buy it.

I also own one and use it frequently. Definitely prefer it over the normal glue bottle.

Woodworkers, glue, clogged tips.
There's a joke in there somewhere.

I have two and don't use them. They work great and if I was using glue all day long I would definitely use them. But they clog horrible if not used; so for a hour here and an hour there, the regular bottle is better.

Have one and love it. The work great and if they get clogged, its super easy to unclog.

I didn't expect it to be better than bottle but it is and it allows you to buy wood glue in bulk instead of in small bottles.

How is it a pain to clean? The tip comes off. I have problem at the opening when you refill. I'm on my 3rd bottle now because glue keep drying on the dang opening. I'll have to be more careful about not getting any spillage

I use Titebond 3 almost exclusively, and I was having clogging issues even when the lid was closed. Trying to clear it out of the part that runs up from the bottom was a big PITA.

Out of stock, maybe the new inventory will be the upgraded model with the lanyard... and maybe not. For most small projects, I prefer the 4 ounce size, but both sizes have issues with drying out and quality control. It is probably best to buy in store that is just as cheap or cheaper and check before paying and taking home.... a prior link to Menards was an example that includes an extra accessory or two.

We buy Tightbond by the gallon, but maybe a case of the smaller bottles is the way to go... per ounce, our supplier is not much higher. If you squeeze out the excess air and close the factory bottles, the glue lasts a long time.

What I do is buy the condiment bottles to use for dispensing the glue into these glue bottles
