I have the Shure SE846 and have enjoyed them for many years but I'm curious about these as I have never tried the Westone brand before. Will I be underwhelmed by their sound signature if I am already happy with the SE846?

So I have Audeze iSine 20s that I absolutely love. The problem is that they stick out a ton and are huge. They aren't very comfortable to wear. Anyone know how these compare to the iSines? I know it isn't the same technology. Any help would be appreciated.
I'm in the same boat. Ordered anyway, should be here in a day or so and I'll know how they compare

You could always order them and if you are not impressed w them return them. I've returned headphones to Adorama before with 0 issues. They even send you a shipping label so you dont have to pay for shipping for returns.

Can you please tell me how they compare to 846 to W60 when you receive them. Id like to pick up 846 in the future and would like to know if i need to do so. I love my W60 headphones.

Yep, if it were land rovers, you would say it's equivalent to beats audio.

Are these like monster cable quality? Like, it's able to transfer digital data better than other cable? (Not analog)

Anyone happen to know... is it correct that the only battery in this is contained in the bluetooth cable, or is there one in the actual earbud pieces? Trying to figure out if you make the investment in this what needs to be replaced when a battery will no longer charge. Thanks for the info.

Yes, it's only in the BT cable. The headphones work wired w/out battery

Just received mine and found out they have sent me an open-box item with the plastic warp cut along with one fo the edges. I am returning this. Who knows what might be wrong with this thing.

Received mine today, unimpressed with SQ, compared with my Triple-fi's sound on W60 is very thin, severely lacking in bass, FLAC files tried with straight from Note 10+, Dell XPS 2019 straight & Mojo and in every mode Triple-Fi's are superb while W60 is mediocre at the best.

I doubt burn in would change SQ that much,,will check it in couple of days..looks like they'll be going back.

That's odd. After getting W60 i shrink my sub $500 BA IEM collection just to Westone and custom re-shelled TripleFI with custom silver Cadence cable and found myself less and less listening UE. I did swap stock W60 cable with custom cooper/silver for better SQ, but honestly stock wasn't that bad either. I think i am done with buying new BA IEM's. W60 struck perfect SQ/comfort/price balance for me personally.
You may have lemon if you sure that IEM have a proper seal with right ear tips.

The W60 should be at least a tier or 2 above the Triple-Fi. Your ears has been conditioned to the Triple-Fi's exaggerated bass and V shaped sound. Not trying to promote the W60 or anything but after getting it from the previous $400 deal, I was very impressed by it. The V2 is almost on par with W80 which IMO one of the best universal IEM's. The W60 has a more intimate soundstage while the W80 sounds more airy and has better sound localization. The W60 would be better for rock/pop and the W80 would be better for classical or other instrumental music. The Westone signature has always been more midcentric with a balanced and natural sound signature. I would say their older W3 would be on par with the Triple-Fi's in terms of sound. Also, it's important to have proper seal, I use the Comply P series tips which I find has the best seal and comfort for me. The included foam tips are a tip too hard for me.

I bought a set of these a couple months ago. I agree that it can sound a little weak bass wise.. i ordered a balanced cable from linsoul and played for about 50 hours. Between the balanced cable and breaking it in the bass is very good. I recently bought a set of the AKG 5005s. Abso.utely no bass no matter what I tried.. the fit was horrible even with other tips. The tube is too fat No seal and falls out. I also have the Triple-Fi earphones. These have much more bass. Better overall. You've got to remember a $900 earphone doesn't sound 3x better then a $300 one. I've got the Shure 535s, Triple Fi, Audeze Isine 20s, klipsch x11s, these and a pair of 4 driver chinese but can't remember brand. I rank them 1 W60, 2 gets tricky. The Isine with the special cable is very good but not without. The Chinese pair or equal to the Shure and Triple- Fi. The X11s are just slightly behind but blow them all away in comfort.

I've got both. To start with I use the W60s with a Linsoul balanced cable. This cable made a difference. I never use the Isine without the cypher cable. I find it lacking without. With the Isine it sounds comparable but not as good. That said, The balanced cable really benefits the W60s. The W60s with the normal cable has less volume, less Bass and a more thin sound. If I was giving a 1 to 100 rating. Isine cypher 85 without cable 75. W60 with balanced 92 without 79. I have never owned anything above a $1000 so this is based on what I have actually heard. To get to the point the W60s are well worth 399. The Isine at 250 would be an equal deal. The simple answer is that these are better then the Isine 20s. At $1000, No. At 399 definitely.
