I read from a comment on a similar toy here on Slickdeals, about mold that grows inside these things. The next day I checked my daughter's bath toys and sure enough found there to be mold inside of each one. Maybe some vinegar or clorox mix would clean it, but yea. Kinda nasty because she loves to spray the water in her mouth haha, she's definitely sprayed that moldy water on my face before too smh.
3 kiddos here, I've noticed this with all plastic water toys like these over the years, admittedly one of the oversized yellow duckies clued me in initially! Usually it's stagnant water inside that leads to the mold imo. I always used antibacterial dawn in hot water with a touch of bleach and just made them suck up the water, shook them a bit then basically repeat a few times then finally do the same with clean hot water only to rinse. Bleach is optional but best, just a touch needed. *Just clog the sink run the hot water add anti-bact dawn w/ a touch of bleach and dip them in then squeeze, have fun while cleaning Peace.

I do like these though, just too cute! I'm in for 1, for my best friends daughter, she'll love these!

They are cute but you have to boil them with hot water regularly for disinfection, otherwise...

I just cut the bottoms out of mine, they become just "guys" for the bath, I was so sick of cleaning the mold and squeezing out like 8 different toys every bath. Maybe leave one that squirts and you can make sure gets totally dry.

Hot glue them shut otherwise they'll just become plastic landfill waste due to the inevitable mold. Was grossed out by the mold so we chucked ours after the first year.

For all the people saying to glue them shut, does that still make them bath toys? Do they float or just sink to the bottom of the water? I mean "squirtin" is in the name. Why buy it to disable the main function of them?

Yes. Definitely glue them shut. Mold problem solved and kids still have fun with them.
