Are OLED prices going to drop over the next week as Vizio releases their OLED line officially?

Over the next week? Unlikely. Once they have been on market for a while and after they drop from their MSRP pricing significantly is where we will see downward pressure on other brands, but besides BF I wouldn't expect to see much lower prices until close out time next year. Covid really did a number on these prices. The B9/C9 never hit the same low prices the B8s/C8s did the last year. This was the first year that sub-$1000 were going to be regularly available on 55" sets (especially on the C-series), but it never happened.

77" hit 3500 this year which never happened with the earlier models. It does seem that the good prices for 65" are over though, where you saw them between 1600-1800.

Isn't the C9 an equal to, or in some cases, better set?
Yes absolutely. I chose the C9 over CX after breaking down the specs

As I understand it the C9 has DTS decoding where the CX doesn't, while the CX has black frame insertion for better motion at 120hz plus it is capable of processing signals above and beyond hdr 10 (which is overkill at this point) otherwise they are pretty much identical.

Are there other points of difference?

Black frame insertion (BFI) on the CX makes a big difference. I'm not using the TV to decode DTS so I don't miss it.

I bought this model from BB a few weeks ago. It's Xbox Series X 4K@120Hz ready and it's a fantastic computer monitor over HDMI. Couldn't be happier with it.

That said, wouldn't buy from ebay.

Anyone here have a C8? What's the CX like compared to it. I tend to keep TV's for a long time though. Just trying to see how the tech is progressing. My TV before it was a GT25 Plasma, which is now my bedroom TV. Just watched a movie last night on it and it still impresses me how good it looks, especially in total darkness.

After you watch 4k for a couple of years, you wont go back to anything 1080P again, the pixels on a 1080P screen are very obvious after watching a 4K TV. Also watching true 4K content is a big difference, And we are already headed to 8k, which I think for the most part is 5 years to soon.

Yeah. 4K HDR is amazing on my C8. The 1080p GT25 is on a wall in the bedroom, and honestly it's not bad for a bedroom/ night time only TV.

2029 model. Supports HDMI420 and HDR 6.9.
AND... people are gonna be complaining that it should support HDMI430 & HDR 7.0 of the upcoming 2030 model.
