Right now perksatwork and possibly other perks programs are offering special coupons for t14 amd gen 1. You might get a better deal via perks website. You can not use cb websites with perks program.

It looks like they fixed the pricing. Going through EPP doesn't save anymore and going through perks with THINK10 doesn't work.

Isn't Ryzen run hot? Would jump on this for Intel.

To be safe I ordered the Ryzen 5 from the last deal instead of the 7

Thanks. I wanted something a bit more powerful (not for game but for computation). I was looking at some ready to ship T14 but it only has rayzen 5.

From where did you get that information? It's exact opposite in Ryzen 4000 series

It is. Ryzen 5 4650u is a 6 Core 12 thread processor and it beats all the Intel U series processors of 10th Gen. The performance sometimes goes very close to 45W 6 core i7-9750H.

Should be easily searchable. Here is an article for example...
https://medium.com/swlh/review-of...bc65560836

While this processor is a monster when it comes to performance, it also runs really hot. And this is also the ultimate caveat with this machine. Yes it performs blazingly fast, but will also throttle hard and run into it's 105°C thermal limit like a semi truck hitting a brick wall, the moment you put some sustained workload on it. Also the right and upper right area of the chassis and the keyboard get hot, really hot. If you're using a mouse with this, prepare to get some sweaty palms because the exhaust vent is just right there.

Do you have any experience with their 250 nites screen? I really don't want to wait the 4-5 weeks. Many of their preconfigured T14 AMD looks great, but they all comes with 250 nites. I can easily configure one with better screen 400 nites, 16GB RAM, smaller drive. Only for about $80 more, but just the wait time is killing me. I did some reason search and it seems to say that 200 nite it the minimum acceptable. I'm using an old ass MacBook pro 2011 (I'm not sure what nites is it but it's not bright).

This is not T14s which does not have proper cooling. The reviewers said multiple time that he wished to have a better cooling. And this is the second most powerful 4000 series CPU with 8 Core nd 16 Threads. And high chance that the device was faulty as suggested by the reviewer himself.

It defaults to a different coupon but you can still replace it with THINK45 for the same price. Also student/military discounts stack

Sweet thanks. Shipping time reduced to 3 weeks, I'm going for it. Thinkpad here I come! Love my Ryzen 4000 lenovo flex but am yearning for a more solidly built device so that's going to my spoiled kiddo. woot!

Same question, is the 250 nits screen dim or ok?
