To quote the best ever Best Buy TV sales rep, "You got NO SENSE if you buy HiSense!".
That is exactly what I would say to somebody too if I benefitted from customers buying more expensive products

Every time I go to best buy for a tv they try to upsell me and say everything else is garbage. Whenever I ask why TCL/Hisense etc. Is comparative garbage they have nothing but the "big name" to fall back on. That and if you ask them anything remotely technical, they are usually clueless. Do your own research and don't trust those clowns

To add my $.02, I returned two of these. First was busted screen during delivery. Second one had several vertical lines form during first few weeks. Returned and picked up $278 55" TCL. Thought picture was pretty good though.

For a person who only uses a roof antenna/no cable, would this TV be ok? I'm not savvy on my tvs at all. Thank you. = )
Yes. I may also consider a powered digital antenna. In major metropolitan areas, can get a great number of channels. In all areas can get some channels and in HD. If you have internet, can stream a lot more free channels because it is roku. If you only have a cell phone, can mirror your cell phone onto the TV. ... this price this set... cannot beat it.

maybe a regional stock thing, I'm surprised deal is still alive, for some of us. I was going to address the person who returned because of bottom news ticker jitters. Maybe it was worse than his previous set but sometimes source matters. Maybe it's the PC here syncing frame rate but my TCL 6 was worse than this R6 with same CNN ticker on bottom. The R6 was using the 4K FireTv so that may have been a factor too. In other words, unless you eliminate all the other possibilities you can't be sure where the problem is.

So my news ticker is fine, and the sound is good but can't get very loud. I noticed with the new and loud AC unit. To be fair most TV speakers are on the weak side. Audio is a bit better with firestick bluetooth to my Echo.

Bought this back in November 2019 for $298 for my mother-in-law's bedroom. Still works pretty good. Just picked up another one the other day for $278 for my sister-in-law's bedroom. Recommended!

yeah, good for low light rooms. I have black out curtains so it helps in my bright cabin. This TV really shines at night. I can't address the edge bleed because I don't notice it under normal use. Maybe with gaming but I don't game on it, I save that for my TCL.

Everyone knows a BB display and sale pitch will try to up sell you to the high margin sets. That was the case for TCL, they didn't even bother to hook it up at my store. I'm still a big TCL fan, looking at their new mini LED processor and BF sales.

I've got this and a vizio V505H sitting in my cart. Vizio has E-arc, its a 50" my soundbar would really love an e-arc TV. Can anyone offer an opinion on picture quality between a 2020 vizio V series and the r6 hisense.

Got one few mo. ago @ this price. Few Tips Get atleast 4+ year warranty similar model started having issues about year 3. Also note that the power card is NON-detachable. Otherthan that works similar to tcl roku tvs if you have one.

That's what I was thinking ...I coughed up for the four year warranty ... after reading the reviews I think it's a safe bet.

Price is good - thanks to OP for posting. But I would seriously consider TCL over HiSense. I love both my 43" and 55" TCL TVs. You'd definitely be happy overall. I do not have much good things to say about HiSense. You can buy TCL 4K for the same price point. The colors and the picture sharpness is unreal when compared to HiSense. Also, I love the Roku app on TCL - did not notice any noticeable delays.

Link for TCL 58'' at same price please.
I just might have a shoot out between the two
or my wife may shoot me for having three tvs in the same room.
