Pretty obvious, but getting people to minimize exposure is still hard. There's a paper from early in the pandemic that showed this kind of spread.

Makes sense. Most restaurant food is far from healthy and results in a weakened immune system.

I don't usually spent much time at SD anymore but was trying to figure out where to share this PSA. This thread looks like the place, thanks for creating it. CDC has FINALLY acknowledged aerosol transmission, hopefully WHO does too.

This tweet has a link to a google doc that has been compiled over last few weeks by aerosol experts, updated all the time with questions from people. I think all work places need to read it: https://twitter.com/jljcolorado/s...65761?s=20

I won't be returning to this thread but wanted to share. Stay safe all!

Thanks for posting. What the CDC is allowed by the Jackass-in-Chief to say lags far behind what everyone else who reads the literature has known since around February.

Hell, even Trump knew this and told Bernstein he knew it long ago.

Yes, I'm just a lay person. I stopped many members of my family from attending a wedding in early March as soon as I found out there was community transmission in a nearby county in California. I told them it was aerosol, I was treated like a crazy person but at least they did not go. The people travelling to the wedding were all coming from Santa Clara County, Solano County, Sacramento County, and the other half flying from New York and other regions around the US. This was pre-"lockdown" in the Bay Area. 2-3 weeks later those areas exploded. I do not regret my decision to not attend. I am just so happy that there are at least a few positive signs coming out of the CDC in the last few days, WHO needs to do this next in a bigger way. Anyways byeeeeeee.

edit: that nearby county was Solano the county where the Princess Cruise folks were flown into. The Public Health officer there, Dr. Bela Matyas posted a community video saying in a hysterical tone that if you worked in an office with partitions you are safe, the virus was not going to get thru partitions. This video was removed subsequently but not before many saved it. That was the sort of thing I was fighting against...

Always have to jump to the nonsensical political bullshit that isn't even accurate don't you?

CDC is like the hokey pokey, and they wonder why people don't trust them.

But the excuse is "Trump tells them....". Nonsense.

Here's the truth. Covid is around, you've likely come across someone that's had it; heck it could be you've had it and not even known. It's about as deadly as some recent measles outbreaks, HIGHLY focused in the elderly and comorbid, yet everyone's in hysterics thinking it's the next ebola (judging by reactions). Please, get control of yourselves; think rationally. You'll be just fine.
