I think a lot people replying are thinking LCD which are affected by polarized sunglasses, I've never had a problem with polarized sunglasses working with LED screens or OLED screens.
LCD and LED screens are essentially the same thing. The only difference is the backlight on an LED screen is LED.

The difference is older screens used to have vertical polarization, but then turned 90 degrees with polarizing sunglasses, the image will be black. The help with usability with sunglasses, manufacturers usually use circular polarization now. OLED/AMOLED is different altogether since the pixels themselves emit light and don't need polarizers.

Correct.

You can also do something similar to test a pair of known polarized lenses to see if the unknown lens is polarized. Turn them 90 degrees to each other. The light should be blocked if the unknown lens is polarized.

I think when I purchased some pair of cheap polarized sunglasses, I read that if screens don't look weird when turning screens 90°, they're not really polarized. That's essentially what polarization does - it filters light rays a certain way... I think.

I had a polarized Foster Grant sunglasses. It was fine at the scenery but if I looked at the phone, the image and colors were distorted. Do all polarized sunglasses have problems with LED screen?

It all depends on the polarizer on the screen you're trying to see. Most cheaper and older screens use vertical polarization so yes, it will distort and at 90degs, may disappear completely. Newer screens use circular polarization so that does not happen. OLED/AMOLED screens usually don't have polarizers to begin with so it's not an issue anyway.

My old LG phone used to black out completely in landscape with my polarized sunglasses. My Pixel now does not.

FYI Ashford has these and more, including the one that's OOS now, for about $2 more if you use the code HOT10

Got the square but the arms are really long, they don't wrap around the ears snugly like other glasses.
Don't know how people buy things like this online. Yeah, there's a lot of savings but these types of things you have to see in person and try on ones that you thing are going to look/fit good. It's kind of the same way buying shoes & boots online. How often do you buy the first pair you try on? You're probably going to take 3 or 4 tries to get it right.

Car windows show the splotches of the uv blocking, and one can see inside of approaching cars instead of a windshields glare!

Received the squares on Friday and wore them all weekend, feel solid, nice lens, spring hinges.i wanted large glasses, these are not it, but I still like them. I didn't have a problem with long arms like other post. I kind of have a big head, but not huge

I've had great success readjusting multiple frames by heating them up with a hair dryer and then bending them as needed. It works on both plastic and metal frames.

this brand is absolute garbage. the lenses scratch beyond super easy and their polarization is pretty much useless. barely cuts any glare at all. also, stay away from this site, i got glasses from there that were clearly fake.

So, again, is there any proper way to check authenticity of their glasses other than visual assessment? Eyedictive deals always have this dichotomy "fake/legit" with many voices on both fractions.

i only ordered one time and it was a pair of ferragamo glasses that i used to have. so i knew it was fake. it was a really good fake, i give them that, but they were not polarized like they advertised and the quality was off

I've bought from Eyedictive a few times (Ferragamo, Ray Bans & now these Carreras which arrived today) and the glasses seem really authentic to me. All details seem correct compared to the normal sunglasses from the same brands bought at stores like Sunglass Hut. The Carreras even have a little imprinted Carrera RFID anti-theft sticker inside the case. I would be shocked if any of the sunglasses I got were fake, especially considering that Eyedictive has had news articles written about them as a notable startup, such as this article from the Miami Herald: https://www.miamiherald.com/news/...73185.html

It doesn't seem anyone claiming they are fake has any actual proof other than their own personal assessment or opinion.

Plus further evidence is that, as someone else noted, Ashford (which no one would question is legit) has the same sunglasses at a similar price so clearly this is the correct discounted pricing for these.

Eyedictive is garbage with fake products!!!

I've bought 5 pairs from them over time, and never a problem with a fake product as all were authentic!

Thanks for the link - I'm leaning toward maybe getting a pair of prescription lenses in a pair of the OSS aviator frames but want to look into it first. I think the place I am likely to get glasses from next can order polarized lenses so I can get the polarization and prescription... And I was planning to get my eyes checked soon so I'd rather wait until I check with my eye doctor first.

Yes I think so. Even my Maui Jim's do that
