Very good deal on the Milwaukee M18 Fuel Hackzall (2719-20). This tool is regularly priced @ $159 so you're essentially getting the battery for free (which is a $70 value). I believe this is a web only price so you won't be able to do the "turn in" trick at a HD B&M store to get the tool cheaper.
https://www.homedepot.com/p/Milwa...cale=en-US

Can also get this same deal @ Acme Tools:
https://www.acmetools.com/shop/to...cating-saw (final price is $3 cheaper since there's no tax but you do pay for shipping; currently OOS but you can still order)

If you want it cheaper and don't want the battery you can save some money by getting it at Amazon (though Amazon is not an authorized dealer so you won't get a 5 year warranty, you'll only get a 3 year warranty):
https://www.amazon.com/Milwaukee-...B076JHJKR8

Tool specs:
  • POWERSTATE Brushless Motor: Increased cutting speed and power throught the toughtest applications
  • REDLINK Plus Intelligence: The most advanced system of cordless power tool electronics; provides optimized performance and overload protection using total sysem communication between tool, battery and charger
  • REDLITHIUM battery technology: Superior pack construction, electronics and performance deliver more work per charge and more work over pack life than any battery on the market
  • 1-Handed design provides superior control and versatitily over standard reciprocating saws
  • 7/8 in. stroke length removes more material with each stroke resulting in the faster cuts
  • Pivoting shoe provides constant contact with the work-piece resulting in smoother cuts with less bucking and vibration
  • REDLINK PLUS intelligence and POWERSTATE Brushless Motor combine to provide up to 3x longer tool life than competitive one-handed recips

This tool gets good reviews across the internet and compares very well to other leading hackzall tools.

Pair this with the new AX carbide pruning clean wood sawzall blade [milwaukeetool.com] (48-00-5231 (6"), 48-00-5232 (9"), 48-00-5233 (12")) to do your end of the year pruning around the yard.

fantastic tool, got one 5 years ago when I was building my home and it did built my house all by itself. I just had to impart the plans via the trigger finger to trigger button. Anyhow I would buy it again in a heartbeat if I needed one.

I almost bought this from Home D ($169) + charger on Amazon ($28) = $197. But with tax it kills the deal, even with the $5 off email signup.
It's $10 cheaper to buy bare tool from Amazon (with tax exempt) + buy Charger/5.0aH battery combo = $187.

I honestly don't see the point of this tool when the sawzall exists
I own this and I'll never go back to a sawzall unless I need a super sawzall

The only knock on these mini sawzalls is the short stroke. Like only 1/2 inch or so.

Actually the blade stroke on this M18 fuel model is 7/8". The M12 brushed hacksaw is almost half of that at 1/2" which is why it's cutting power/speed is so much less.

charger not included
A great deal if you already have an M18 charger, not so great a deal if you don't since the regular charger will set you back 60 bucks and the rapid charger runs $80.

While the M18 is a good system for heavier duty use, I think the M12 Fuel line is a good compromise for DIYers and weekend warriors. Definitely lighter and more easier to use than the M18/M18 Fuel lines. Not sure if the M12 4.0Ah battery starter pack deal is still valid or not, but buying a M12 Fuel Hackzall (tool only) for only $78.24 a few weeks ago was good enough for me.

Same here. The M12 fuel hackzall is the best option for those who need more power but also ease of use. Got it for $76 using the deal/hack from another thread. Great deal for those who already have enough M12 batteries.

So you're saying get the super sawzall because it oscillates?
