Agreed, I dont need even more buggy software on my PC. Im a set it and forget kinda guy anyway.

Program-free is a selling point here because those programs can be bloated are obviously prone to any software failure that might occur. The extra macro stuff is nice but outside of super niche uses I'm not going to bother with the vast majority of them. But without loading the software I get almost no RGB options with my Corsair strafe, and the keys just illuminate red.

I'm considering pulling the trigger on this one just for having a nice back-up, the lack of software is attractive to me!

Cherry Brown switches would be better for most office settings.

They're linear with a tactile click, so you'll eventually learn to not bottom them out, making them even quieter than reds for most people.
Brown = tactile no click
Blue = tactile with click
Red = linear

This keyboard looks like a generic rebranded keyboard. I have a similar keyboard, but with another off brand. The switches and key layout are the same, and the space bar even has the same colored dash on it. Except, this one is 20 bucks less. I did not download or use any of the software from the company...just plug and play.

More to consider, the Razer Huntsman optomechanical keyboard is down to 89.99 on Amazon.

The product you have linked doesn't look equipped with cherry switches. Outemu has to be cheaper than cherry. If the product on the deal is certain to have used real cherry switches, it is probably the cheapest real cherry switch keyboard on the market.

They're linear with a tactile click, so you'll eventually learn to not bottom them out, making them even quieter than reds for most people.

The next step up from that would be red switches such as these but with key dampeners added.

Key dampeners can be added to nearly any type of switch to diminish their bottoming out (the key hitting the chassis of the keyboard and making a CLACK sound), but they obviously make more sense in a linear switch where you don't have an audible click.

It's extremely uncommon, but you can also use thin felt strips between the rows of keys for a softer "landing" of the key.

I got the G413 Carbon and typing sucks on this thing, I need to sell and get something better to type on. I didn't know anything about the color switches and what they mean.

Thanks

Product update. Had used for 2 weeks so far. Now it is no longer working. Will be RMA'ing and seeing what happens. Feels like an really solid build quality so I was hopeful but this has been disappointing.

Had this about 3 weeks now and I love it. Using it over others I paid almost twice as much for. Only complaint is indicator lights for cap lock, num pad are too bright and a bit distracting so I always toggle off when not needed. If you need full size you can't beat this board for the money. Durgods are better but they're over $100 and $130 for RGB, I have one of those on main PC but rocking this on secondary and loving it!

Of note..Cherry Red switches are fine but they also now have it with Kailh box red's for 42.98 and they are perfectly fine switches as well

The kailh red and cherry mx red dropped down in price. $24.99 and $43.07 respectively. I bought the blue not realizing it was blue and wanted the red. But I have to pay for the return shipping so I will just keep the blue.

Thanks but I had already seen that and I even ordered an extra for backup at that price. I ordered one with the optical switches for 39 I think it was, haven't received it yet though.

Quality update, mine lasted 1 day before internally shorting out, pulling 3amps from the USB port. Customer service was pretty crappy- they left it up to me to keep checking the site for these to come back into stock and let them know when. I did, and we set up an RMA process, then they sold out again. I ended up parting mine out during the wait time anyway, didn't really expect that they're want it back. Oh well.
