High performance oil? Mobil 1 performs terribly out of the bunch. Kirkland and supertech and amazon oil outperforms Mobil 1.
I had used Mobil1 and Amazon. The Amazon is better for my car. I am trying Kirkland oil and lets see.

Love Mobil1 for their rebates making it very good price. But Mobil1 is not good for my car.

Any1 been to the Costco store? How much is it there? I'll check it out later but last time I didn't spot any Kirtland oil.

err definitely kirkland oil over mobil 1.. mobil 1 is all marketing and hype.. the additives are extremely sparse compared to most oils..
i'd recommend pennzoil ULTRA platinum or toyota OEM synthetic if you want something with plenty of additives

but on a budget, kirkland will do just fine

As I said, not a bad oil. But meeting a standard doesn't mean top of the line. Like the whole "top tier gas" BS we often see, claiming something like ARCO is "the same" as, for example, Chevron.

Manufacturers and most professional mechanics aren't going to use relabeled oil. They use a legacy brand proven over generations.
Actually all gas is the same. The only thing that is different are the additives that are added to the gasoline. That being said you definitely want your gasoline to be Top Tier certified at the minimum. Most stations, including Arco, Costco and all your name brand stations are Top Tier certified. I can't find any studies of Techron being better than Top Tier but there are a lot of studies including one from AAA that show that Top Tier certified gasoline keeps your engine cleaner than non Top Tier certified gasoline.

I would probably try this but I've had good luck with Mobil 1 High Mileage. My 4runner is at 250k miles and my other Toyota is at 115k. I think the high mileage adds some additives that the regular oil doesn't have.

Branding is a smokescreen. People should learn to evaluate a product by what is in it and what indicators of quality there are. Many legacy brands are crap now and many new ones are good - that doesn't mean you indicate quality by longevity - they are two different things.

Spend some time at bobistheboilguy.org and learn about oil instead of spewing out random shit that you understand
Thank you for acknowledging that I understand this "random shit." LOL

Does Bob explain how to boil various substances?

LOL, plenty of car enthusiasts and I know that "all gas is [not] the same." Our cars, in particular, tell us that in many ways.

You are feeling the difference in additives if you feel anything. The refineries all sell the same gasoline to the different truckers so the gas itself is the same. Unless you are talking about special high octane racing fuels or the differences between states then thats a different story. But talking strictly in one state where all the gas tankers go to the same refineries to pickup their gasoline then yes, the gas itself is the same.
