Just some friendly guidance on selecting KN95 masks to use:

1. Per the FDA instructions for using respirators from China, you're supposed to check if it is an authorized import using Appendix A and then review CDC filtration tests on those authorized products.:
https://www.fda.gov/medical-devic...e-facility

Appendix A: https://www.fda.gov/medical-devic...#appendixa

CDC filtration tests: https://www.cdc.gov/niosh/npptl/r...sults.html

2. Also be aware that some companies may list an FDA registration certificate pretending that the product has been approved.
FDA Registration and listing does NOT denote FDA approval, clearance, or authorization of a device or endorsement of a firm; rather, it simply provides the FDA with the location of a medical device establishment and devices manufactured at that location.

This is incorrect. My hospital used KN95's with Ear loops and they've been using them even before the pandemic.
That's a shame your hospital is putting staff at risk with known ineffective PPE.

These are the best KN95 masks I've found so far.

Highly recommend.

Use one of those mask behind the head adjuster straps to dial in the fit. You can make them as tight or as loose as you want. These actually fit perfect for me, on the snug side. That adjuster will also take all the pressure off your ears, which is a must if you plan on wearing if for extended periods of time.

Bonafide is the cheapest I know. Wouldn't call it a deal really but it's the best you can get for FDA approved KN95s.

How much money has everyone spent on masks this year? I bought a re-usable mask for $5 many months ago. Really the only mask I've used (I got a free cloth mask before too). I want to know who the biggest sucker has been. Make me feel good. Let me hear it.
If your using one mask make sure you wash it often , daily, were in warmer months and breathing into reusable it can get them moist casing bacteria to grow, and you'll beathing in bacteria not good at all, will cost you more long-term

Over $1k for being a medical professional, and the facility doesn't provide enough.

I've been out every day to public places since the beginning of the pandemic with a cloth mask Lets stay on topic. I'm curious what people have spent on masks.
$14 for a 10 pack of real 3M N95's with filter valve, last year. This year: $5 for 2 pack of cloth masks at Target and a box of 50 paper 3 ply's from eBay for $5.

My heart goes out to you. That seems really wrong that you have to spend that much. Hopefully you can write it off on your taxes.
