Great deal on air filters which are getting harder to find nowadays. Many sizes in stock at the time of this posting.

Link to Filtrete 800 MPR air filters (3 packs):

Link to rebate:

Rebate options:
$5.00 if you buy 2 x 3 packs (would need filler to qualify for free shipping) - $26.76 after rebate + filler + tax
$8.00 if you buy 3 x 3 packs (free shipping) - $39.64 after rebate + filler + tax
$12.00 if you buy 4 x 3 packs (free shipping) - $51.52 after rebate + filler + tax

Cost per filter would be ~$4.29-$4.46 (+ tax) depending on how many packs are purchased.

Thank you original poster.
We do not want to go too high with MERV, industrial filters with too high MERV ratings may cause problems on average house furnaces, 8 to 12 MERV is the golden zone!

Why go too low when these come out to $4.29 a piece after rebate? For a MERV 10. Perfect!

How many rebate per a house? Can I buy 8 units and fill 2 rebate forms? Will they accept it?

Update: Limit one rebate request per
household.

thanks!

I get mine from Lowes.
This one is great for my allergies
https://www.lowes.com/pd/Filtrete...1000065619 [lowes.com]

If I buy 2 2packs, get %15 off, with rebate, works out to $9.75 each.
Funny thing.. I did the same and bought online at Lowe's (in-store pick-up) but for me Lowe's is doing Buy 2 save 10%. In the Checkout page, the Chrome plug-in Honey asked if I wanted to buy a gift card through them for the Total Amount at a 5% discount so of course I said yes. Lastly, to pay Honey for that giftcard I had the option of using PayPal (which Discover is doing 5% cashback).

All in all, my checkout total was $79.20 tax-included for four 2-packs that was 10% off from Lowe's, but I paid $75.24 for the Honey giftcard to pay. Subtract the $12 MIR, subtract the 5% Discover cashback, and it comes to $7.51 for each 14x30x1 air filter.

I'd call that a Slick Deal! Thanks OP!

mail in rebates are so scammy. they bet on you not using it or it getting lost after 8 months and then you never using the $5:00 debit card. just take $5.00 off the price if you want to create a rebate for customers.

It's all marketing according to my HVAC technician. He advised me NOT to buy filters with very high merv ratings. Just buy low priced regular filters with merv 4 to 6 and replace it frequently may be every 3 months or when it gets dirty even before 3 months.
So I useualy buy this https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07FNWCLPJ at regular price.

Yeah, I talked to the same guy.
He told me not to wear N95 masks, just wear cheap masks and change them every 5 minutes. laugh out loud

You may have a point in a perfectly tight house with no outside air leakage or drafts from window and door seals or wall outlet boxes and ceiling exhaust fans. But in the real world this isnt the case. All the air in your home does not go through the blower filter and even less air goes through a high merv filter especially in an older house. IMO its simply a waste of money to buy high merv filters for the consumer and more a marketing gimmick .
I do not disagree with you in that in perfect conditions, a cause and affect can be seen. I'm sure all of the factors you've mentioned do impact air particulate such as age of home and quality of windows. To each their on how and how far they want to reduce the risk, whatever it may be, for themselves!

Yep, merv 13 minimum. But at that point, you begin to lower your life on your heater blower, and energy bills go up the more you block air.

Best to just use a box fan with a filter attached for filtering out smoke, and run it on low, so that it don't burn out the motor.
Washington State Dept of Ecology says MERV 11 or higher is adequate for a box fan filter so the same should be true for you HVAC blower. See here https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4qr1Aj6Di7w&feature=youtu.be&ab_channel=WashingtonDepartmentofEcolog... [youtube.com]

I'm sure that may be true under normal circumstances. Right now I've been buying smoke rated filters and slapping them on any fan my family and I can find because we live in a place that has has the worst air quality in the world for multiple days in a row.

I am grateful we still have homes that need filtering. Many of our neighbors no longer have their homes or have been forced from them during this pandemic into the worst air quality of our lifetimes.

Cost per filter would be ~$4.29-$4.46 (+ tax) depending on how many packs are purchased.

thank you.

i bought 2 of these 3 weeks ago after 2-3 visits to the local stores. none of them had 3 pack in the store, even though brickseek said 6+ available. they just dont know what i was looking for. they said there was nothing in the back. the only 3 pack they have instore is the "buy 2 get 1 free" package, and it only came in 1 size: 20x20x1.

so dont waste your time, buy this online if you can. they shipped in a giant box with 2 day shipping. all came in perfect condition.

infact, i just installed mine last night. quality is much better than those "proudly made in usa"s sold on amazon.

again, thanks OP for bringing this up. will fill my rebate tonight after work. i dont know if they have any single upc for these multiple pack though. i threw away the outer plastic wrap. of course you dont want to cut your upc on the individual pack. it will destroy your filter. they do have upc on the filter itself though. so waiting for some advices on how to submit these "original" upcs.

My size is 14x25 but they don't have that.
They have 14x30 so I was thinking of just cutting the edge off to fit.

Why even bother to put the cardboard back on the edge?
i just modified mine last night. took like 30 min to do some mind mappings before the cutting. just buy the exact 14 x (X), then cut the length to size. its not that bad once you figure it out.

keep the original edge AND the fabric, trim the middle cardboard (next to the edge). fold the fabric along with the edge. dont cut the fabric. then use masking tape to tape the edge back. was going to use some hot glue for it but couldnt find any deal on it. but masking tape turned out great.

When I used filters rated that low, they looked good as new 3 months later and barely had any buildup at 6 months. The higher rated filters would start to show buildup right away. All of that stuff is going right into your hvac system if you use the lower end filter and getting circulated throughout your house.

The key to remember is that when you use the better filter, you MUST change them often. They are more restrictive in terms of air flow and as soon as they start to get dirty your system has to work harder.
