From a previous thread...Wave

Sprint's 5G network has been decommissioned, and Tmobile's new network will not support Sprint's phones (except the Galaxy S20): https://www.androidpolice.com/202...st-merger/

So if you think this is a 5G phone, it is not.

'All of this to say if you own any Sprint 5G phone that does not have "Galaxy S20" in its name, it will eventually lose access to either network's 5G, period.'

What he said isn't true 3G refers to to internet on your phone, you will still be able to make phone calls if they remove 3G service, which won't happen anytime soon. 3G is a reference to download and upload speed through towers, each iteration 4G and 5G improving on the previous speeds and latencies. They aren't backwards compatible so you would need the latest one on your phone to access the higher speed internet.
Hmm, this happened to 2G. They shut it down and no internet or calls or even service , why would it be different for 3G?

Carriers MAY choose to deactivate 3g only phones to encourage upgrades. Ymmv

I don't trust anything tied to Sprint. Horrible cell service and even worse customer service

Hopefully the V60 will be close to this price by BF. Currently have a V30+ but will past on the V50, good price though.
Well if you shop around you can find a dual screen set up of the V60 for around $500 ish. I'm guessing it should drop a little bit hopefully soon tho.

ConfusedConfusedWhat?

Can someone elaborate on this for uninformed idiots like me?
With shutting down of 3G, all voice calls will be made over LTE networks (VOLTE).

Be careful of this seller. Bought this phone on a previous deal. While it does arrive in new condition when I tried to return it due to 5g not working on any other carrier, the seller claimed the phone was damaged and refunded half the amount. I sent the phone back unopened in the same condition. Ebay is absolutely useless due to the pandemic, and they have sent multiple emails promising rest of the refund but money never was refunded. If you look at previous deal pages about this phone from this seller, you will see more posts like mine. I recommend if you buy the phone and want to return, just put it up for sale rather than return or youll get scammed.

Everything works fine for Red pocket att network, except no hotspot. The hotspot function is disabled due to no option for MVNO type.

I actually have heard many times over this seller refunds only half your money even with legit issues claiming the buyer damaged it.
I said it before and will say it again. Stay away from this device.

Are APNs locked out on this phone like with the LG G8 after Android 10 update? As I've learned when trying to change providers with a Sprint "GMS unlocked" phone, GSM unlocked means nothing if Sprint has locked out APN changes behind MSL.

Not sure where Kimovil got the data from. The following data page for the Sprint V50 (LM-V450PM) matches most of what's in the eBay listing:

http://phonedb.net/index.php?m=de...__lg_alpha

If it has indeed LTE band 13, then you could potentially put in an already-active Verizon SIM card and have it work on the Verizon network.
The only 5G band seems to be n41 (2500 MHz) which T-Mobile will be repurposing for their own network.

And if you plan on using the phone on any non-Sprint network, be sure to look at the eBay listing's compatibility section about changing APN settings.

Thanks for more information. I was more interested about band 14 TBH.
