Sprint's 5G network has been decommissioned, and Tmobile's new network will not support Sprint's phones (except the Galaxy S20): https://www.androidpolice.com/202...st-merger/

So if you think this is a 5G phone, it is not.

'All of this to say if you own any Sprint 5G phone that does not have "Galaxy S20" in its name, it will eventually lose access to either network's 5G, period.'

Where should I shop around for that deal? I'd buy it in a heartbeat but I can hardly even find a Verizon v50 anywhere.
Costco as the V60 for $579 but only if it is in store

This or the Samsung A51 5G for $325? I don't like spending a lot of money on phones, but these seem to be the best 2 "cheaper" options for 5G phones with a 3.5mm headphone jack and expandable memory through a microSD card. I use Cricket wireless in the states (AT&T towers).

battery life on the v40 is rubbish. otherwise its a great phone and can be had for like 160 bucks or so.
Up voted. I have a V40 and g8x. V40 battery suck balls but charges fast. G8x last a full day without worry.

I actually have heard many times over this seller refunds only half your money even with legit issues claiming the buyer damaged it.
I said it before and will say it again. Stay away from this device.
WWhere are you seeing this on this seller? I only see 1 negative rating total.

Not sure where Kimovil got the data from. The following data page for the Sprint V50 (LM-V450PM) matches most of what's in the eBay listing:

http://phonedb.net/index.php?m=de...__lg_alpha

If it has indeed LTE band 13, then you could potentially put in an already-active Verizon SIM card and have it work on the Verizon network.
The only 5G band seems to be n41 (2500 MHz) which T-Mobile will be repurposing for their own network.

And if you plan on using the phone on any non-Sprint network, be sure to look at the eBay listing's compatibility section about changing APN settings.
I bought this phone and popped my Verizon sim card in and everything appears to be working normally (for Verizon prepaid, anyway). Placed and received calls and texts from my wife's phone just fine. LTE and tethering work fine. Not sure about 5G since Verizon does not have it in my area.

Good to know. Verizon uses a different 5G band, so that won't work regardless of where you are. Does VoLTE work? You can tell while making a call if the LTE icon stays up or not.

VoLTE does not work. Neither does MMS. LTE regular texts and calls were working fine. I tried to edit APN settings to fix VoLTE and MMS, but it asked for a security code. I read that you could reset settings by inputting ##72786#. I did that, which cleared everything out. Now only texts and calls are working. Lost LTE. I asked the seller for the service code and hopefully if/when they get back to me I can get it all working. I'll keep you updated.

Okay here's the latest. Seller sent the service code. Realized I had not turned mobile data on since APN reset, so LTE is back. Enabled VoLTE with service code and that's working now. Edited MMSC settings to what's on the Verizon website. Still not getting MMS. I've done a fair amount of googling and I haven't found any additional information to resolve the MMS issue. Still a great device for a great price, IMO. no MMS is not a deal breaker for me, I mostly use telegram/twitter anyway. I will keep and maybe sometime a fix for MMS will surface. The only other problem I have with it is activation message always appears on reboot.

That's pretty good news. So at least you can still use the phone on Verizon's network after they shut down 3G/CDMA at the end of this year, and maybe someone will eventually figure out MMS.

For disabling the Sprint activation pop-up on every boot, there seems to be a fix mentioned in the comments here:
https://old.reddit.com/r/lgv50/co...everytime/

This involves connecting the phone to a computer, and if you're not familiar with ADB and running commands to disable bloatware on Android phones, here is a general guide on setting this up:
